The large tom watched the kits inside the nursery. He licked his lips. Lionpaw KNEW he should be helping them out, it was a hard time but if they were kin to Lionpaw, then they COULD do this. He sat down and licked a paw, flicking it over his ear. It'd be best if they didn't know that the fluffy golden tabby tom was related to them. They would be confused about everything and he didn't want to explain crap to a bunch of confused and annoying kits/siblings. He was sure he had many siblings, either in the clan or in the forest. He didn't know who or where but he was sure of it.

Lionpaw also shook his head with a growl. He couldn't help but scoff as he stood up and followed his mother. He sat down beside her, a few steps away. He twitched his long white whiskers and sighed, not looking at her as he said. "You know. You're gonna regret doing this. You're doing exactly the same thing you did to me to them. Sooner or later you're gonna regret it, be sorry, and they're gonna hate you. You have to learn from your mistakes. Be a better cat. Go in right now, with your kits, before its too late. Anything could happen. StarClan could take away your kits. Your mate, your whatever. It could even take you away. Enjoy it while it lasts, or you'll regret it." He mumbled lowly and got back to his paws and started to walk away.

The former apprentice stopped before he exited out of the RiverClan camp. His ears perked and one flicked. "Oh trust me. I understand your pain. Not your situation but your pain. We all suffer the same." He meowed, and turned his head around so he could look at her, glaring into her eyes. Frosty eyes met the same, frosty eyes on another cat. On kin. "What do you want? Pity? Somecat to understand you? Rosepetal, you've had all that. It's time to move on. Sure, somecat will ALWAYS bring that back up. All you got to do is smile and nod." He meowed. "You're right! I did have kits with a rogue! But now my kit is pretty wise for his age, he's even teaching me a lesson. A lesson to move on and ignore you." He mumbled, shrugging. "Or something like that. Don't let it get to you if they mention it. It's in the past. Nocat talks about it anymore. Move on." He growled harshly and began to walk away. "As I said, go in with your kits before you regret it. Time waits for nocat." He warned, his frosty eyes narrowing.

Lionpaw completely froze. This was a surprise. He always took advantage of Rosepetal's niceness to get rid of the rage. Looks like karma... Karma was a fox heart. "So. You're disowning me?.. About time. I could always see it in your eyes. I always was different. Neglected. And all that stupid mouse dung." He mumbled, his voice calm. "You're right. I'll never be loved. I'll never love. I'll always be a useless cat. Just breaking hearts and enjoying the pain I give and receive. Just like my father. A cat who hates and neglects. A selfish cat. An unloveable cat. A coward. A prideful tom who takes and takes and never gives back." He mumbled, his voice breaking slightly before he felt his blood boil. "Three cats? WHAT DO YOU MEAN I BROKE THREE HEARTS?! I ONLY BROKE YOURS, ROSEPETAL!" He turned to Rosepetal, his eyes narrowed all the way in a dangerous act. He was snarling, showing his teeth and his ears were flattened, his claws unsheathed. "You've already made a fatal mistake." He hissed at her, lunging at her but then fell to the ground, hitting his chin as he heard the last words.
You were a mistake, Lionpaw. He was pretty sure he had broken something. He had heard a loud crack of some kind and he had hit the forest floor pretty harshly. He grunted painfully and stood up. He touched his jaw with a paw and his heart stopped. It felt different... It hurt.. IT HURT! It was burning. It wasn't hanging though. Well, he didn't see anything but he felt a bunch of pain. He glared at his mother. "You know. You've showed me both physical and mental pain right about now. And I thought I changed. All I have to say.. Or had to say was, I love you. Yes, I love you, mother. I always have. Will that change? Yes... Definitely." He mumbled, looking into his mother's eyes for the last time. "Tell, Thornkit... To watch his back." He spat out, walking out of the camp, his tail lashing out, his walk was confident and hostile and slightly pained, his ears flattened and his claws were out.
