Wiki entry about Combo Bases

This began as a way to share theories about possible combinations, but then things got way bigger than expected. A lot of people have invested a lot of currency in the scrying stone to see if we were right about combos, and here is the result :D

But wait... What are combo bases?

When you breed two lions with the right combination of bases, their cubs roll a further, extra chance that can result in a third, new base, a "combo" base. Each combo base has its own requirements, and these bases often ignore the set genetic rules: for example, the Cairngorm combo base (Black Light Solid Special genetics) can be obtained by breeding a Celestial lion (Black Dark Countershaded Special genetics) and a Cocoa lioness (Black Medium Countershaded Rare genetics). Most combo bases can be passed down as long as one parent has it and further requirements are met if there are any, with the exception of Pulsar and Temporal.

*Since the 12th October update, cubs that have triggered the original combo bases - Cairngorm, Citrine, Madagascar or Qahir - have a 50% chance of getting their respective mane color, and these can be inherited like any other mane color!

Right now there are two different types of combo bases: "standard" combos and "factor" combos. Factor ones can be obtined by breeding any of the bases that make up the combo, but standard ones can be obtained by more than one combination of bases that are assembled into two different groups. The combo can trigger as long as the parents have bases that belong to a different combo group (not to be mistaken by the genetic color group).

*Note: While some of the following standard combo tables have been completed, there may be some combinations that remain undiscovered yet.

Just added two additional tables to include Asiatic and Cloudburst! Asiatic has two bases of each group already thanks to the News, but Cloudburst will remain empty until somebody has one - hopefully next wet season? I'm unsure how the scrying stone will behave with this one

Asiatic kinda looks like nacre could be one possible base that could throw it. Hmm...

This brings the question "can bases already part of a combo be part of another one?"

Edit: Forgot to mention that Asiatic seems to be made up by common bases for now, and Nacre is special.

Nothing new to add to research... but wanted to share my excitement in the Dun potato fails finally having a purpose.

(Hey... maybe it's the potato fail colors that will be part of this?)

Cloudburst certainly looks like it needs a "white" group and a "blue/grey" group :o

With Asiatic, I've been scrying White x Silver, but so far no luck.

thats would be sweet if they were making the potato fails into something useful, bring some worth back into common bases

So... Dun is a common fail from Sidereal, and Cream must be from Pearl. Then Gray from Celestial and Ice... But White is not a fail from any of the hard to breed bases

It's a fail for Carin now, since you can breed carins with it's combos to try and get another carin, right?

In regards to bases being used twice as factors, we already know that Xanthic is used twice - Olive and Citrine. It is reasonable to think it may happen again.

I would like to think that newly introduced bases may be factors.
Nuummite is a very speckled base, as is Rhodonite. Maybe they are needed in combination with a blue base to create the harsh speckled patterns of Cloudburst? (Can't really scry our theories until wet season, though...)
We've never used Arctic before, as it is new, too.

Edit to add:
The news said:
"Cloudburst (which you can recognize from 2017's marking apps) is a very unique combo, not only because it's in Common section, but also HOW it can be obtained. You can only breed it or pass it during Wet Season - it really fits to the name! Which bases to mix, though, we won't reveal! Enjoy the detective work!"

I wonder if that means it's based from Commons? Or that it is just considered Common once it is bred?
