Heyo everyone! c: The problem:Since lioness fertility percentage drops have been introduced, there is a continuous downward trend in prides where low-fertility lionesses are bred later in their reproductive lives and produce cubs which inherit the fertility percentage, from their mother, as it stands at the time of the breeding. For those of us who breed for mutations and handle low fertility breedings consistently, this is an undeniable boon and almost negates the need to use tackweed altogether. However, for the users who breed instead for markings, bases, or stats, I believe we are constantly battling against an across-the-board decline in fertility. It leaves us with a pride of lionesses that have inherited <=5% fertility and continue to produce cubs with that percentage or lower. This forces us to spend 100-500sb per lioness per breeding for their entire breeding lives, or purchase Black Stallions or Vuka Vuka, just to get a simple breeding done. Possible Solutions:- Separate inherited fertility (perhaps have it as a standalone stat) versus age-related fertility drops. Cubs inherit the fertility that their mothers genetically have, rather than the one affected by age-related drops. In this situation, fertility-changing items such as tackweed, chasteberry, & vuka-vuka WOULD affect the inherited level of genetic fertility. (Black stallion would not, as this does not change the fertility percentage, just removes the gamble) This would mean that mutation breeders could still breed for low fertility to help with mutation projects, but marking/base/look breeders could breed higher fertility into their lionesses to make their own projects easier. How it'd work : Lioness 'A' would have two values considered when her fertility is calculated, producing an 'active' fertility: Inherited fertility: 50% Age-related Fertility Debuff: -20% Active Fertility: 30% When chasteberries/tackweed are applied, that would be added/removed to the Inherited fertility: Inherited fertility: 50% (+20%) Age-related Fertility Debuff: -20% Active Fertility: 50% (+20%, chasteberries applied) The fertility passed on here would be 50% (give or take a bit for how the game passes). I appreciate that this is not a fully fleshed out solution, but I'd be grateful for your suggestions and opinions on making the fertility system a little fairer. I don't have a complete answer, but it'd be awesome if we could come up with one. c: |

This is a great solution, imo. I’ve been frustrated by this for a little while and have been using more and more chasteberries just to get my pride bred, but hadn’t come up with any ideas to improve it. I’m not a VLF breeder, but even from goddess fertility lionesses end up being pretty low by their last breeding, and as you said that gets compounded over multiple generations. Personally I really like the idea of genetic fertility passed onto cubs being something we could alter with items but that doesn’t change over time 0 players like this post! Like? Thanks for your support, Myr! c: <3 I'm glad it seems like a reasonable adjustment/solution. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support! My beloved celestial marked lionesses are getting harder and harder to breed because the mothers keep passing lower and lower fertilities to their cubs. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think this is a clever idea. Females not passing their age-dropped fertility would definitely help situations. ((Though I personally wish the -5/year fertility age drop would just be removed or reduced. It hasn't really helped with the cub market; it just makes people spend more SB on Chasteberries and Black Stallions.)) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Could not support this more, I spend so much on chastberries each month I'm sick of it. I think the drop caters to VLF breeders way too much 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Grimme Exactly! I don't want to breed VLF lionesses because I'd rather save my energy for exploring and stud requests. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Supporting. I am an avid explorer and I love breed my lionesses but is getting harder and harder, especially with the girls with the best stats or marks in their last heat. 0 players like this post! Like? |
