So.. I recently had an OC made for me and I don't RP much anymore and so I'll be working on this post when I can be bothered to!

Echoes of thunder filled the air, but not a cloud was in sight. Amira ran, her kitten quiet as though knowing the danger they were in. These were not their furless brothers and sisters, rather, these were furless intruders. Their skin was pale as the fallen clouds atop the mountains she called home. Another echo of thunder from behind her, and then a white-hot pain in her back leg. She could feel the warmth trickling down. She pushed forward, her furless brothers and sisters could take her kitten and keep her safe while Amira led these pale skins away. Ahead lay the strange caves they slept in, and at the bottom a hole big enough to get her kitten through. She skid to a halt and unceremoniously pushed her kitten through the hole, pushing some fallen leaves to hide the hole and her kitten before taking off again. An echo of thunder and a scream, then the air was still...

The day wore on, and the kitten was left alone. Her momma should have come back by now. But there was no sign of her. The little one wandered toward the big opening to see if she could spot her mother, but instead what greeted her eyes was a strange creature. It didn't seem to have any fur, aside from what was on its head, and it seemed to be wearing the fur of others. The young one cowered away from the strange creature. As she dud, the strange creature took off, making strange sounds. As she moved back, she saw the creature return, this time though it had another of its kind with it. The two creatures made the odd noises at each other, before the smaller of the two ran off. The little creature returned, with yet another creature, but thid one had fur like the fallen clouds on it instead of the dark fur the other two had. The little one seemed to be holding something, something that smelled good. Hungry, the kitten took a few steps forward, cautious of these creatures. The little put down what it had and the kitten could see what it had. Whatever it was was warm, she could tell as much. Hunger taking over, she approached the creatures, determined to get what was smelling so good. The creatures were making the noises again, this time softer. She still had no clue what the noises were, but one word, "Vaelora", had her looking up. The little creature saw, and curious, perhaps, it said the word again. The kitten looked at the young- had to be young, given the size of the other two- creature and it started to make excited noises at the other two. The pale-furred creature picked the little kitten up carefully and amidst the strange noises, was Vaelora.

As time wore on, the young kitten grew, learning what some of the noises meant from the furred brethren that lived there with her. She learned that Vaelora was a name that the humans, the furless creatures, gave her. She learned to protect the young humans and be gentle, as they are soft, and to be wary of the pale humans, for they might hurt her. That she didn't understand. Her humans, for they were hers as much as she was theirs, were always gentle and kind, giving her delicious scraps and a warm place to sleep. They were her people, and she was a cat that they loved.

And so it was for the young Vaelora, a lynx amongst the humans as a domestic cat.
