This is a thread for everyone to suggest future Grandpaw flavour texts! There are three categories for flavour texts: - Pep Talk: displays during Cub Training - Interaction: displays on a Cub's page - Story: displays on a Grandpaw's page Please specify whether your flavour text is a Pep Talk, Interaction, or Story, and what personality you are making the suggestion for! You all are welcome to post as many flavour text suggestions you like here - even seasonal, event-specific ones for a future update! Here's an example of how we would like them to be formatted. Pep Talk for Stoic (Neutral) [CUBNAME] is sniffling and whining about how they weren't so successful during training today. Grandpaw [NAME] says some boring yet strangely inspirational words to the cub about not showing emotion, and to never accept defeat. [CUBNAME] is feeling better and wants to train again! |

Story: Patient (Kind) Grandpaw [NAME] is quiet as he allows you to rant, patiently waiting you out until you are calm enough to hear his advice. Grandpaw [NAME] seemed to know that you needed to rant as much as the advice. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Pep-talk for Climbing with Even-Tempered (Neutral) You watched as Grandpaw [NAME] walked up to [CUBNAME] and started giving them advice on where to put their paws. [CUBNAME] decided that climbing Grandpaw would be far better than the cliff, but Grandpaw doesn't seem to mind. Added for Even-Tempered (Neutral) - Pep Talk! 0 players like this post! Like? Pep Talk for Evil/Snarky (lmao not really pep talk pft but funny ig) C/N = cub name L/N = lion name H/S = his/him she/her [CUB NAME] fell on [H/S] face after attempting to do what you told them to. Grandpaw [L/N] snickered, not seeming to be trying to cover it up. [C/N]'s mother snarled at Grandpaw [L/N], whacking him with her tail while turning, ushering her cub away. 0 players like this post! Interaction for Loner - [Cub] was in a sad ball today. Grandpaw [name] noticed them and nudged them a little and offered a small smile before walking off. [Cub] isn't too sure what that really meant, but they sheepishly nod. 0 players like this post! Like? |

LOL, I always wondered how we would work in the really evil Grandpaws... I mean, why do we keep 'em around? Maybe they're kind of loved, somehow... kind of... sort of... maybe. Pep Talk for Unscrupulous (Evil) [Cubname] is leaving everyone in the dust today! ...which is good because Grandpaw [name] is hanging out, booing at the slowest cubs, and loudly pointing out everyone's mistakes. Wow, what's up with that? Dad! --- Pep Talk for Vicious (Evil) [Cubname] is couldn't quite catch the cub in the lead while racing today... but Grandpaw [name] threw a well-aimed rock right at their head, and... oh! Uh, [Cubname] wins! ...playing favorites, are we, Grandpaw? ugh. --- Pep Talk for Heartless (Evil) [Cubname] WAS pretty slow up that mountainside... until Grandpaw [name] shouted: "That's the way to guarantee being chased, [cubname]!" ...and then they shot right up to the first one at the top! Way to encourage there, Grandpaw. oof! --- 0 players like this post! Like? |

Story for Arrogant (Snarky) Grandpaw [NAME] tracks you down after you let a lioness get away with helping herself to extra rations. When he was king, he rants at you, he would never have allowed such insubordination. It's a shame he's too old to fight, or he would kick your ungrateful butt off of his throne. Interaction for Bold (Snarky) [CUBNAME] digs up a muddy rat carcass and brings it back to camp, begging the other lions to play with them. Everybody they ask gives them a disgusted look and hurries away, apparently busy. Just when [CUBNAME] is ready to give up, good old Grandpaw [NAME] offers to play with the rat. They play toss, and Grandpaw [NAME] spends the rest of the night getting mud out of his mane. Interaction for Candid (Kind) Some of the other cubs are teasing [CUBNAME] about his fighting skills. They slink over to Grandpaw [NAME], bashful and embarrassed. They're obviously looking for sympathy, but instead Grandpaw [NAME] gives them an honest appraisal, complimenting them on their strong points and giving them tips to improve their skill. Story for Chivalrous (Good) As you pass by a group of gossiping lionesses, you notice Grandpaw [NAME] keeping an eye on the cubs they're supposed to be watching. As soon as one of the cubs stray, Grandpaw [NAME] scoops them up and returns them to their mother, giving her a charming smile. Apparently the old geezer still has some moves. Pep Talk for Confident (Kind) After failing at training, [CUBNAME] is irritable and snaps at everyone, refusing to let anyone get close. Most of the other cubs avoid him, and you can't seem to talk any sense into him. Suddenly Grandpaw [NAME] is there. He scoops up [CUBNAME], ignoring their protests, and tells them to keep trying if they want to grow up to be a strong, fierce lion. More to come! 0 players like this post! Like? Story for Even-tempered (Neutral) You've lost a cub you were supposed to be watching, and you tear up the den trying to find them before their mother gets back from hunting. Grandpaw [NAME] sits by you, watching you with mild interest. As soon as you stop to rest, he starts to tell you a story about a silly king who looked all over the den for a lost cub, only to find him asleep with his Grandpaw. You snap irritably at him, telling him that you don't have time for stories. Grandpaw [NAME] gives you a patient smile and says that there was a moral to the story. Just then, the cub runs out of Grandpaw [NAME]'s sleeping place, looking very refreshed. Pep Talk for Forgiving (Good) Little [CUBNAME] gets thoroughly bested by one of the bigger cubs. Grandpaw [NAME] regally sweeps over to them and goes on a long-winded explanation of why we must forgive and forget. As he walks away, obviously proud of the way he handled the conflict, you hear [CUBNAME] mutter something about "rotten old stinkers". You barely manage to keep from laughing. Story for Heartless (Evil) As you pass by old Grandpaw [NAME], you noticing that he's gnawing on something. Wait a minute, is that a lion femur? Yep. Okay... Moving on. Pep Talk for Humble (Good) [CUBNAME] isn't doing too well at training any more, and they wail that everyone is better than them. Grandpaw [NAME] tells [CUBNAME] that it doesn't matter who's best. In fact, he himself used to be one of the clumsiest cubs in the pride. Of course, you know that he completely outdid everyone, but now's not the time to mention it. Interaction for Hyperactive (Snarky) Grandpaw [NAME] is having fun letting the cubs crawl all over him. One of them laughs and says, "Grandpaw, you're so squishy!" Little [CUBNAME] is watching with a puzzled expression, and as the others clear away, she asks Grandpaw [NAME] curiously, "Is your name really Grandpaw?" Pep Talk for Loner (Neutral) [CUBNAME] is very upset about failing training, and they loudly complain that they want to be alone. They stalk over to Grandpaw [NAME] and sit down with a little hrmph. Apparently sitting with Grandpaw [NAME] counts as being alone. Interaction for Mysterious (Neutral) Grandpaw [NAME] has just returned from patrol, and is absolutely covered in black dirt. [CUBNAME], who is playing tag with their siblings, suddenly runs head-first into Grandpaw [NAME]. He simply stares down at them, and they quickly scamper away. As [CUBNAME] leaves, you can hear another cub asking, "Who was THAT?" 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 03/05/18 @ 11:53:21 by Freaky Missy (#142500) |

Here's some ideas for the hyperactive Grandpaws out there! Story: [CUB NAME] runs up to [GRANDPAW], begging him for him to tell them a story. [GRANDPAW] laughs boisterously, and flops down, beginning his story about fighting handsome lion gods in the months when he was a young king. How adorable. Pep talk: [CUB NAME] pouts and grumbles, shuffling around with a mopey expression, unhappy that they didn't do well. As they open their mouth to whine to you, [GRANDPAW] saunters over with a tilted head. [CUB NAME] quickly turns to him, deciding to whine to him instead of you. After a moment of listening, [GRANDPAW] shuts them up with a rowdy roar, hollering that they could 'beat him when he was young' if they kept training. They look at you, excited and ready to train again! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Interaction for Protective (Good) Personality [CUB] was playing when a intruder leopard male attempt to scare him. [GRANDPAW] suddenly jumps in between them and roars furiously, telling the leopard that any coward beast should mess with his grandsons. The intruder flees with his tail between legs. [CUB] looks admirated and thanks his Grandpaw. Story for Patient (Kind): You greets [GRANDPAW] and began talking about the hard duties of ruling a pride. The old lion laughs and tell you that a king have to be patient and firm to solve problems, and that his bond and duties with his kingdom are for life. You hold on that words "for life" and smiles. You should talk more with [GRANDPAW] 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 10/07/18 @ 12:17:14 by TupacShakur0900 (#149626) |

Story for fatherly (kind) You decide to go around your pride and check on your lionesses. On your way back, you see [CUB NAME] having a tantrum about something or another. You start going over to see what's the matter but before you can get there Grandpaw [NAME] sits down beside him and starts off on another one of his stories. Something about what life was like in 'his day'. You chuckle, remembering those stories being told when you where a cub yourself. Pep talk for Heartless (evil) Whilst training, [CUB NAME] is clearly struggling a little. You notice Grandpaw [NAME] watching from the side, a terrifying scowl on his face. He calls [CUB NAME] over, and whispers something in their ear. [CUB NAME] whimpers and nods frantically before stumbling back. You roll your eyes and shake your head- what did you tell Grandpaw [NAME] about threatening the cubs? 0 players like this post! Like? Story for Arrogan (Snarky) As you were walking by Grandpaw [NAME], you notice a bunch of cubs asking Grandpaw [NAME] for a story to which the old grumpy lion retorts with "you want a story? FINE!!! YOU WERE ALL ADOPTED!!!". you shake your head as you continue with your stride. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Inspired in part by owl: [CUB NAME] fell on [H/S] face after attempting to do what you told them to. Grandpaw [L/N] snickered, not seeming to be trying to cover it up. Then he tells CUB NAME about your misadventures when you were training. Peptalk for Snarky 0 players like this post! Like? |

Story for Mysterious (Cub) was making some sneaky plans to escape with another cub during the night. (Cub) was confident in their mischief until they turned around a corner, bumping into Grandpaw (Grandpaw) who said: "Soooo, what exactly will you two be doing in this 'special place'?" Story for Loner (Cub) was a bit upset because the other cubs teased them earlier. (Grandpaw) nudges them and says: "You know, I found that doing things myself, not depending on others for amusement or accomlishment, has helped me to learn more about myself, to prove that I am not what the others accused me of. Maybe you should give it a try, (Cub)" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Pep Talk for Fatherly (Kind): After [CUBNAME] tripped over a branch that seemingly wasn't even there, Grandpaw [NAME] came over to them and comforted them, telling [CUBNAME] that they could always try again. [CUBNAME] rushes up to you, feeling much more confident, and eagerly asks you if they can retry the training. Story for Mysterious (Neutral): As per usual, Grandpaw [NAME] is stargazing. He invites you and [CUBNAME] to sit down and join him. Together, you watch the stars while Grandpaw [NAME] tells a story about the time he joined forces with a hyena named Laharu to stop the evil hyena Clans from stealing all the prey. You and [CUBNAME] are asleep halfway through the story, but Grandpaw [NAME] doesn't seem to notice. When you wake up, he's asleep, too. Interaction for Loner (Neutral): You see [CUBNAME] greet Grandpaw [NAME]. He just walks away to his favorite shady corner like the introvert he is. Interaction for Hyperactive (Snarky): [CUBNAME] invites you to watch [him/her] try to bet Grandpaw [NAME] in a game of Baoball. You watch Grandpaw [NAME] be a Baoball goalie with the cubs. The 'net' is a wide gap between two trees. So far, Grandpaw [NAME] hasn't missed a single ball, but- Oh! Wait, never mind, he got that one, too. He doesn't seem to be tired at all, unlike the cubs, who look absolutely exhausted, especially [CUBNAME]. Interaction for Confident (wait was it good or kind): Grandpaw [NAME] drops his meal down the edge of a cliff he's lying at. Despite [CUBNAME]'s best efforts to warn Grandpaw [NAME] that it would be stupid to try to get it back, he does so anyways, returning exhausted, but with his food. Pep Talk for Arrogant (Snarky): After [CUBNAME] fails at training, Grandpaw [NAME] lets [him/her] in on a secret. You don't catch what he says, but [CUBNAME] asks if [he/she] can try again so they can be like Grandpaw [NAME] and fight hyenas. Story for Patient (Kind): You listen to Grandpaw [NAME] tell stories of the 'Snuhlions' he used to make when the 'snuh' came. He describes it as a calming activity. You remember the 'Snuhlions' he built. All of them were so detailed, unlike yours, which were practically just huge clumps of 'snuh.' 0 players like this post! Like?
