I had a mutation idea that lions could have these, and they are not passable naturally, but breeding items give a 10% chance of it being passed. Cleft lips/palates are the fourth most common birth defect in the U.S. In cats, this defect usually happens during early pregnancy. Different types would be : - Incomplete Left/Right - One side of the lip is slightly raised, but not completely clefted into the nose. - Bilateral Incomplete - Raised on both sides, not completely clefted into the nose. ***dies if not protected by brood mother by six months*** ***would not be able to hunt or be kinged, since the nose being affected by the cleft would make it hard to sniff out prey and make it hard to travel long distances, ei exploring.*** |

As someone who was supposedly born with a risk of cleft palate, I support this idea. Would be interesting for a non-lethal mutation as well! 0 players like this post! Like? |

The cub only dies if it is not protected by it is six months, or not nursing. 0 players like this post! Like? |

^^^ yes, if you view Xylax's mutations suggestions masterpost and scroll to the lethal section, you'll see it is already an idea that they are considering. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Is a cleft palate heritable in real life? I think it usually is not, so I do not support this mutation being heritable. I also do not think we need multiple types of cleft palate. I think just one would be plenty (perhaps the one that is most common in cats could be chosen to represent cleft palates on Lioden). You have not mentioned whether it would have any in-game consequences. In cats, does cleft palate affect ability to eat or hunt? If so, perhaps lions with the condition on Lioden should not be able to hunt or be made king? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Thats a good idea- not being able to hunt or be kinged, since the nose being affected would make it hard for them to sniff out prey and it would be hard to explore as a king, as the breathing being affected. @coal 0 players like this post! Like? |
