As you're taking a walk through the dense rainforest, your ears twitch as you hear a conversation near by. Following the sound, you hide in a thick bush and watch as a lioness and her king talk, the king's brows furrowed with concern as the lioness attempted to comfort him. After a few minutes of conversation, the king excuses himself and stalks off, head held low. The lioness watches him go, ears flicked back and whiskers drooping before she swung her head around and met your eyes, surprise showing in her own.
"Oh! I didn't hear you sneaking up on us, what with me talking and all!" She purred, clearly friendly. You come out of your hiding spot and approach her, asking what the conversation was about.
"Oh, that? Well, despite being quite young my king is searching for a suitable heir. Since I have not given any male cubs and the other lionesses in the pride haven't given any..."suitable" ones, he is worried he will not find an attractive enough male to take his place when he passes." she sat down, looking in the direction the king went with a worried look on her face. Feeling a little bad for the lioness, you ask if there's anything you can do to help.
"Actually, there might be..." she responded, face lighting up as she looked at you, head tilted. "Maybe we could brainstorm and come up with a suitable heir! What would he look like?" she said happily, settling down to think.

CONTEST
Hello! Getting right to it, I struggle with making good looking lions. My king is not very old yet, but I want an heir that looks good and I know it might take some breeding projects to get one that looks right. That being said, I'm doing a contest to find a good heir! The name of the game is designing a lion in the wardrobe that has good looks (you can find a list of things I like further on). The prize will be art from myself! The header is done by myself and you can find more of my art at mangymapache.deviantart.com! I can draw anything from your king to an OC of yours! Judging will be done by myself and all in all is just what is the most appealing to me!

Note: If it helps I'm hoping to do an "evil" king.

You can submit your design on a mutation but the design must look good on a non-mutation lion

You can't just link a lion you have in your pride

PRIZE

The art can be anything from a chibi to a fullbody with a background. I can even design a character for you if that's what you want. Depending on the art it can take me from two days to a month to complete.
