So as it turns out, your king automatically ages to 16 when you retire him, no matter how old he was. That's confusing. So it means, your lion can't die young anymore, and his page will show wrong age forever. (I'm saying this as that kind of player who treats their lions more as characters than just breeding material. For example, my previous kings' untimely death was a part of the pride's story and source of drama xD) Anyway, you can retire your grandpaw anytime you want, so why not just keep their actual age? UPD: Really: there's nothing in it (grandpaws keeping their age) that could harm the game's balance. Grandpaws can't breed, after all. Plus there can only be one Granpaw per den anyway. Also, one of the main points of Grandpaws was letting your king live longer, but in the end, having them aged up to 16 isn't much nicer than just "killing" them. I see absolutely no reason why they couldn't stay in their actual age. |

I didn't notice that before. I like it when my lions show the correct age. I do agree that grandpaw should show their actual age. I support. I also gave you support from my side account. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I 100% support! I play the game very much plot-based, so I'd like my king to display the correct age of death, or at least be thrown into retirement at the same age as he was overthrown. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Eh, no support. I prefer my old kings to die out imediately. and even when at grandpa age they do have some time left. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Harley You... do know that you can kill the grandpaw at any time and he'll go to your king dynasty, right? That solved the problem right there. (Apologies if I'm wrong on this, but that's what I heard) 0 players like this post! Like? |

It's not so much about time left. Personally, I'd be okay if, no matter what age they were retired, they still only got one extra year with the pride. But some people play the game mostly pride lore/story based. All of my stored dynasty kings have died young, on purpose, and it says so in their bios. If I retire one at the age of 7 years old and his story is that he was killed young by humans during the poaching event, he becomes immediately 16 when I retire him. Well... then his bio doesn't make much sense, does it? 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Bez I agree tbh o3o (Though personally, I'd still want them to be able to survive longer than a year if retired before 16, but maybe that's just me. I'd be fine either way, though) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yes I do know that. After reading Bez's post I think I misunderstood the main post. Support. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yeah, I was rather saddened by this, too. I would've liked an accurate age, or at least to spend more time with my previous king. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I was planning to play some kind of a Lion King-inspired drama with an evil submale taking the throne and exiling the young "legitimate" heir to the side account, but then he would return and kill the uzurpator... But the Grandpaw thing kinda messes up the fun. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 23/02/18 @ 06:06:08 by Jamali [Cherry Blossom Pariah] (#112542) |
