One thing that I found a bit strange upon hearing about in chat is the fact that inbreeding doesn't have any affects at all in-game. This actually concerned me a little given how (from what I know about Lioden) lots of stat monsters just breed into the pride over and over without consequence. Something that could make people want to buy and trade lions more would be making inbreeding cause mutations. For example, first 3 gens of inbreeding have no effects on the cubs. However, with every gen after there will be a higher chance of getting a mutated lion. Of course, not high enough to make lionesses pop out primals every time, but high enough for 1 lioness to get 0-3 mutes throughout her entire life. But this won't be all sunshine and rainbows, as this will also increase the likelihood of lethal mutations. This will help newer players in the realm of finding a place in the lion market as they more often then not don't understand breeding items, or can't afford them, but it doesn't hand it to them on a silver plate. However, some people may not like the idea of risking their pride since the more inbreeding there is, the more likely you are to have a cub with a lethal mutation. Please tell me why you do and don't support! |

I'm on the fence about the whole idea to be fair - I inbreed quite a lot and since I have genetic mutations for kings, I get a lot of muties in my pride anyway. But I don't really care about it. But I still support this in a way as, whilst Lioden isn't the world's most realistic game ever (Hello, I own a pink blind lady for crying out loud) having inbreeding risk that chance of lethals might be a wise idea. I'm adding two links below to suggestions about inbreeding anyway, because some people might have already supported there and don't see the point of making their case here x Link A Link B ![]() |

No support sorry this would make mutations especially lethals way to common very quickly. ![]() |

It may sound like a good mechanic at first; but as with any increase of supply and decrease in demand, there will be problems. In a matter of months at most, the mutie market would be devastated. It would also have a harsh impact on the value of mutie breeding items. ![]() |

This has been suggested several times. I don't blame you for making the suggestion, it makes sense logically. But it simply isn't a good idea from a gameplay standpoint. People would inbreed on purpose, and it would destroy the economics of muties, breeding items, and studding, just to name a few. ![]() |

Not only would the mutation market suffer, but think about players who have been playing this game for years and are so used to inbreeding being a non-factor. It's far too late to be adding this mechanic into the game, in my opinion. ![]() |
