April Event
All eggs you collect will be useful to buy fancy stuff for yourself, but... You can donate collected eggs towards public good and see what else you can unlock! Remember that the April event starts on April 1st at 00:00 am LDTime and ends on April 30th at 11:59 pm LDTime! All currency you have left over will carry onto next year! Important Changes We are trialling a new method of opening certain event tiers. Some bars, like the Ostrich Eggs bar, require the personal sacrifice of items which some members are understandably less likely to participate in - yet still want to reap the rewards of having the shop open. This leaves a slightly skewed pressure on the members who try to donate as many eggs as possible. So for April, we are introducing an additional progress bar which is personal donation. If you reach your personal donation threshold for each tier, you will be granted access to the egg den features when the main event bar opens. If you do not participate and don't donate any eggs, you will not have access to the Egg Den. Shop opens regardless and is not affected by this. We are starting with lower numbers to introduce the feature but will gradually increase over later months while you guys get used to it. What's It About? - Collect Carved Easter Eggs for currency OR donate them! - Work together to unlock special areas, where you can use currency at OR enjoy new features! - Explore to experience the Fluffball encounters! - Find Lucky Feet to win Explore battles immediately! - You can see how many Eggs you have on the sidebar! - The bars unlock tiers in the Bunny Shop as well as three different features in Egg Den! - Bunny tunnels should let only females play, as males have their EXP reset when retired into. BAR 1 Fluffballs Caught Tier 1 - items to buy Tier 2 - more items to buy Tier 3 - more items to buy + Bunny Tunnels BAR 2 Easter Eggs Donated Tier 0 - Warming up Tier 1 - Ostrich Chick play Tier 2 - NCL markings Tier 3 - Primordial Spring - de-aging/aging main male by 2 years once per lifetime BAR 3 Personal Donations Reaching the threshold for each tier will grant you access to the Egg Den when it opens! 2018 Change: - Lots of new decors! - New progression bar! - New event-exclusive NCL markings: Bone Bottom Scoria Siamese Tangor Inverted Brindle Tangor Marble Tangor Undercover Storyline! In April of 2017, we decided to shed some light on where the Carved Eggs come from, what the fluffball agenda is, and give a story behind the Primordial Spring. The story will be repeated this year with a few new rewards to keep things exciting for the people who already experienced Wenet last year!
Mysterious Wenet has a banner that appears in the EVENT area. She will invite you to a journey that lets you wear a special mask. Wearing it has pros and cons - while wearing it you won't be able to chase bunnies anymore, and might miss out on special hidden result of chasing fluffballs that is extremely rare!
- Questing is entirely optional. This is something we added on top of the usual event stuff - but it does bring you amazing things, including Egg Yolks and Carved Eggs. - You can take a quest only once a day, but you can finish it any day. - Wenet's quests are named, unique, and will log in your User Log so you're aware exactly where you're at in the storyline. They also are pretty roleplayish! :D - Wenet will tell you what to do and wait for you until you're done with the quest. - As you give her things, you might notice she likes to look pretty for you as you progress!  - Wearing the Wenet Mask is optional and can be turned off and on on Wenet page. It affects exploring event related encounters only. It will enable certain ones and turn off other ones. - Rewards she gives include among other things Hare Points. You can spend them on her page. - Once you complete the Storyline, you can go back every day and complete again some of the past quests in a way to get more Hare Points (other rewards are turned off then). Those quests are randomized and will change every rollover. You cannot abandon a quest. - Estimated maximum Hare Point count for doing every quest every day of April is 85, including the special quest payout. - Once Primordial Spring unlocks, Wenet will have an extra special quest for you that you can take no matter if you finished the Storyline or not.

So hey, didn't the Personal Donation Bar start at 37 or something? Because I just checked and it's now up to 75.  That seems like kind of a jump, especially on the very first day of the event, and that's just making my misgivings about that bar all the stronger... especially since none of the tiers have opened yet, so this is just the FIRST amount we have to donate! And it might even go up per tier! I've only got 20 eggs even though I've been playing when I had my energy bar up all day (except when I had to sleep) and I can't be on Lioden all the time like I was today, so like... yeah, uh. I think I'm going just eat the punishment and not donate because WHAT. ::NOTE:: Those who are going YOU CAN GET 1k IT'S FINE STOP WHINING; please don't. See again how many EEs I got through playing ALL DAY, then remember that I cannot put that effort in for every day of this month. Nor can OTHERS, especially if they work. Stop pretending people who can't be active all the time don't exist and don't deserve to enjoy the event. Donating currency is a horrible thing to ask in the first place; punishing people for not donating because they can't get anything they want if they do is just nasty. ::END NOTE:: 37 at least seemed personally doable to me, but 75? And possibly 75 (or more) multiple times? Yeah... yeah, no. I didn't agree with it to start with because it made it about punishment instead of incentive (negative reinforcement is BAD, mods, if you haven't ever bothered with studying living things), but I was still going to participate since it at least seemed it'd be somewhat possible to do while also getting the currency I needed to buy what I wanted. Now? Nope. I'm just holding on to every egg because of the inflation of the personal bar on DAY 1. Day one, and after some people had vocalized very clear misgivings, and you DOUBLED it. Just... wow. There is a coding FAIL Gosh. Just let the new system work out the kinks! Donating has ALWAYS been part of this event. No one is forced to donate. You can exchange HP for eggs. Wenet sometimes rewards them *I think* The hare mask increases the eggs you find. There is many ways to get eggs. Amount of currency is always based in how much you play for EVERY event. @Fading Angel: Because this one is different and you're being intentionally obtuse about it. The reason people are complaining about this event was because, in every other event, you only need to earn the currency for what you want to buy. Yes, you still had to play enough to earn that currency, and not a single person is debating that. On this event, however, that's not how it works. You still have to earn what you need to buy your item, but you ALSO have to earn enough to donate too. That could be anywhere from twice as much or more, depending on how the personal bars are going to go, and some people cannot do that. People who are unable to be very active are probably already having to decide between things they really want, since they only have the currency for one or two of them. With this event, they end up with two choices: One: Donate. Be able to get NONE of what they want (or only one when they could've gotten two), but be able to participate in the full event. Everyone else who is getting those 1k+ eggs you keep crowing about get a major excess of it, and the items flood markets (which is what someone else brought up as a problem). Two: Don't donate. Be locked out of part of the event, but be able to buy what they want. The only person this personal bar punishes is... the people who can't play as often. And again, it's a punishment. The thing about this month is this, my dudebro: You ARE forced to donate. Let's look at the textbook definition, hm? forced fôrst/ adjective adjective: forced obtained or imposed by coercion or physical power. If you don't donate, you don't get to fully participate in the event. Forced does not mean physically forced only; this is being forced because if you decide not to do it, you don't get access to half the event. Stop being intentionally ignorant. Multiple people have explained their problems very clearly and it's right there in black and white. If you don't understand, you can reread it again. Also, on your remark about Hare Points. Again, I've played all day, every time my energy bar was up. I have 2. 2 Hare Points. You need 15 to trade for EEs. People think of this one differently because you have to donate your event currency that you ALSO need to get items. Not everyone has the time to play Lioden all day every day to get a chance of getting enough for this while also donating ridiculous amounts to open the shop in the first place. 0 players like this post! You aren't forced. You can save for next year... Some of us donated hundreds of eggs last year because we really wanted the springs but some users didn't donate at all. But still got to use the springs. And when it doesnt open those that did donate loss all those eggs. If you don't have enough time to play for 100-200eggs why not just save it? And also many users buy currency from others if they need extra for items. And honestly April is one of the cheapest event currency to buy because everything is cheap 0 players like this post! The changes feel like a big middle finger to players who can't spend every waking moment on the site. Sucks if you have a full-time job and family commitments, I guess. It's bad enough that donation is required in the first place, but to ask for... Almost 200, 300 eggs, if the bar progresses as usual, just to get access to a shop? That's absurd. There's no reason shops can't unlock on a timer, leaving players to focus on collecting tokens without stressing over whether or not we'll even get to see the shop, let alone have enough to buy anything good after paying the fees just to get in the door. Or maybe make it quest-based? Especially if events are going to have storylines going forward, which they didn't a couple of years ago when I started playing. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yep, I knew for a fact you were gonna just ignore my points and go back to repeating the same stuff you already have (and that has already been explained, multiple times, in this thread). Read what I've said. Read what others have said. Your explanation is there because I'm not going to repeat myself over and over to someone who has no intention of actually listening to me. @ Mods or whoever runs this: Please, please actually pay attention to what people are saying. I'm all for encouraging donations, but that's the thing. You have to encourage it. This punishment system is not going to work and it's only further splintering your community -- something I'm sure you don't want, but it's here. Just look at all the people going "stop crying it's easy" and the others saying "I WORK/have a life outside of the internet, I can't get anything if I have to donate too". Reinforcement needs to be positive. The reinforcement you have here for this event is negative. You're going about it in exactly the wrong way. The progress bar could be fine for other events -- even great! -- since it doesn't require donations, but this one? NO. I just pray to god you don't change other events to force donating currency there, too. I've said my piece, so I'm done now. Good luck to all the people who have lives that don't revolve around Lioden and can't be active all the time because of it; we're gonna need it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Also, one last thing and just to throw it in a new post to not be lost in a wall of text: Chat is not a place to put notifications of coding errors or glitches. It moves very fast, not everyone watches it (I don't, because there are multiple conversations going on at once and I hate that), and it's not somewhere people can check on.
