This suggestion has been added to the site! I'm so happy omg ; u; ~ Basically just a tiny marking, not unlike the "Ear Rims" or "Nose Tip" or others that affect only a very minor portion of the overall base. The marking is actually already featured as a unique aspect of Mottled Rosette -- -- but far more real wild cats have the marking than just leopards. In fact, most of them do, at least to some extent. I think it would be really nice to play around with and include in other designs, or even on other (non mottled) rosettes. : ) As a fun fact, lionesses use their Ocelli by positioning their ears to silently communicate with their pride-mates behind them during hunting, and many other large cats such as cheetahs use them for the same purpose to signal to their cubs following them to better evade danger. I'd love to see more subtle markings like this as common oasis options, maybe even others like "tail tip" or "inner ears" or something eventually to add that perfect touch or accent our favorite lions. Heck, I'd finally have a reason to use those "added marking" slots, haha. : P I'd love to know what everybody thinks of the idea! Feedback welcome! c: |

Yes!! I’ve been wondering why Lioden doesn’t have this as a marking yet. They’re really cute and would add a nice yet subtle touch to lions. I love them haha, I almost always include it on my big cat characters. Support! 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 02/05/18 @ 00:26:44 by Grey (#144407) |

Haha, exactly! I raise Savannah cats IRL and some of them have those too, as do some Bengals. It's one of my favorite cat traits for sure. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I would love "Ear Spots" and "Tail tip" and similar subtle markings to be added. I'd love to see a Custom version of "Dorsal Line" as well. I adore little tiny touches like that and it makes me sad they're so limited. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Definitely agreed. I have to admit I'm often disappointed by the overly-busy "10 markings" designs when every marking is competing for lion "real estate" and overlapping or even drowning the others out completely, because most markings are pretty large and/or prominent - not because it necessarily looks better, but because of the demand for lions with lots of markings. A few more little "accent" type markings would be lovely to choose from, complement almost any design, and as a bonus, should take very minimal time & effort to add! : ) 0 players like this post! As an afterthought, who else would love to see these as sort of "mini" applicators? And by mini, I just mean cheaper and widely available, maybe even craftable from surplus items clogging up the system? : ) It would beat buying a 3gb marking applicator from the oasis for tiny markings like these - but I wouldn't be opposed to that either! As long as they're not "event only", I'd be happy - it would be pointless and sad to see so many be wasted on a bunch of ugly NCLs and potato cubs nobody keeps or cares about anyway, and not nearly impressive enough to endure grueling or downright impossible breeding projects trying to get it on a decent design. If they're accepted, I myself really hope they would be widely available or not included at all. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 02/05/18 @ 01:54:29 by Dember (#14130) |
