Support. Only one of my groupies hasn't been golden, and that was a deep fawn one. I don't even care if I don't get a special, I just don't want to get mustard-colored lions every single time.

It is completely random, to be fair, and golden bases account for nearly a quarter bases (with the others being black, cream + red) so it's just bad luck and not at all unfair. V'kai gives you way more rep than you need, and the lionesses are as easy to claim as to chase. I've only caught like 1 or 2 goldens in my groupie claim (although i happen to like goldens), you guys just got bad luck. The game is completely fair. let it be imo.

No support. Given that the most common bases you can get are the wild common bases, it stands to reason that those are the ones you have a higher chance of getting from a groupie and, the more wild bases of a group there are, the more chances you have of getting a base of said color group. Currently there are 11 golden common wild bases, followed by 10 cream ones, then 4 from black and 3 from red.

I'd support introducing more wild bases for black and red, but that's it. There's nothing unfair about getting mostly goldens, it's just plain chance.

I'm going to have to go with no support, sorry. I've gotten nothing but fuglies and more goldens than I like, but as Berenos and TadaKiba(side) explained, there are more goldens in wild common bases. I've seen people get plenty of non-golden bases, including a glacial so it's much a luck of the draw as beautiful eyes or a mutation. I'd love to get nothing but muties but understand that would be too much! It's only the 5th, give it time for V'Kai to stop being a douche and find you a pretty non-golden!

I counted the bases on the wiki. There are currently 39 Golden bases total (not including green, and has about 7 bases that are either ncl exclusive, app., raffle, or combo), 44 Red bases total (with 14 being either a combo or needing a parent of the same base to pass it), 43 Cream bases (12 bases that need a parent to pass it or combo), and 49 Black bases (with about 16 bases being breed, combo, or raffle only).
The reason why I included this information is because many of the bases that are not in Cream or Golden are more often harder to obtain in the normal gameplay. The way I view the groupies is probability and rarity.
For example, the bases Sidereal, Skyward, Celestial, Lilac, and Pearl. These are just some bases that are said to be incredibly difficult to pass. They're much less common than most bases. A lot of bases such as Dun, many Goldens, and Creams are much more common.
The way I see it is like if you have a bag of 20 marbles. 10 of those are yellow, 2 are black, 5 are Cream, and 3 are Red. You have a much greater chance of picking a yellow marble compared to the rest. While it is completely random, there are simply more common bases than others.
