First off I am not sure where this would have gone in the suggestion sub threads, so sorry if I misplaced this! I also apologize if this was already suggested or rejected, I dug around the boards but didn't see anything.

Basic Idea

A lot of players are now trying to have clean family lines, if I'm correct that only the parents genetics matter, it's only cosmetic/immersive that anything past the parents show in a lion's Heritage.

So what about making an item or place (could be in scry or could be an event only thing) that allows users to erase/remove a lion's heritage past it parents?

Its not too different [in theory not in coding] from removing a marking.

How It Could Work

◾EDITED◾

⚫The activity/item would erase a cubs full heritage, but would impose a stat reduction of 10-30% at random or depending on how high the cubs birth stats were. The cubs heritage will state that the cleaner has been used so others can see that it was cleansed. Users can decide for themselves if they co sider that 100% clean or not.

⚫it could either be an Event...activity, It could cost a high amount of event beetles and only be used every so often [ex: every 20mins or so]

⚫Or a actual explore drop item during a event with a very high rarity of dropping. Something as rare or even rarer than that of the July Interstellar app.

♦ regulations would be: the cub must be no younger than 5 months and no older than 10months. Giving you a 5 day window of use. The cub must not have had a jellyfish used on it prior to using the Cleaner, and the cub must be feed and happy before use.

❌ It would not delete which prides the cubs have been in. so if you buy a cub then clean it, you can still see which user bred it. Thus, the person who originally bred the cub doesn't have thier time, beetles and effort completely unrecognized.

Sorry if that was all hard to understand...

I think it would be a good option for those who want to play with "clean" lines. Although, I admit this idea sounds like a coding nightmare.

Yay or Nay? Tell me why you support or don't support. Feel free to share what could improve this idea and I will add it to tthe main post.

I had an idea like this but more of an item that just wiped the heritage clean period. Make it smooth and simple for the coders and such.
I've chased many of my girls but it's not a 'safe' way to get them back if at all.

I was thinking that the the item is Where you gathered herbs and various things to craft the item and help cleanse a selected lion.
If SB/GB or event then maybe the above ideas.

(I like the idea for a lion rank of healer/Herbalist or something similar to be added and they can make things to heal and help like this lol)
The item could be a clease scroll that a healer/shaman could make or a potion of sorts. idk, still playing around with the idea rn.)

No support. CL is a user based project and by adding this it'd be too easy, no matter how it was implemented, to get a high stat, rare marking cub that someone may have spent generations on, just to have all that work wiped and someone can have a super expensive CL cub that they didn't have to work on. Not to mention its only wiping the cubs heritage. you could easily check the parents heritage to see the cub isn't CL so I'm not sure what the point is anyway.

Good point Phantom :o
fergot about possible abuse.

The cleaner may have worked if LD had what i've seen some breeder games have i.e.
Breeder: Player name & ID here
date born: MM/DD/YYYY

(Which i would love to have the birth date tbh)

Yeah i didn't think about that either, well then my only other thing would be to wipe out full heritage - however I dont see it causing too much trouble in the area of

"it'd be too easy, no matter how it was implemented, to get a high stat, rare marking cub that someone may have spent generations on, just to have all that work wiped and someone can have a super expensive CL cub that they didn't have to work on."

If it was added as an event time it could be either very exspensive, a explore drop during the event (could ve tweeked to be rarer than the interstellar base drop), or a end of event storyline reward that way no more of the item would be around after that month unless hoarded.

Ok so "what if people hoard lots of them" - if the drop rate is uber rare there shouldn't be many left unused to sell + any hoarded Cleaners would probably sell for too high a price in branches and the TC killing any easy access after the event the item can be granted it.

For those who dont want "easy" clean lions, a cubs heritage can show "Heritage Cleaner used" if the Cleaner had been applied to the cub and users could decide for themselves if they consider this cub as clean or not. (Because there are already likee two versions of "clean" as it is)

It could also have a small time frame were it could be used on a cub for example : not before 5 months and no later than 10 months old - which only gives people a 5 day window to use said item. Which should hinder the whole rare clean cub thing a good amount.

I mean essentially the main purpose for this is for cosmetic and rp purposes being that blood purity has nothing to do with actual lioden genetics breeding wise.

Edit:
It could also impose a stat reduction on said cub of 10-30% of its birth stat number, if that apeases more people worried about ultra stats as punishmint for abandoning its ansestors or something.

@FNaF Foxy - there should really be a date of birth for lions, Im suprised there isnt one already.

I don't like it cause its gonna put more priority and pressure on CL, which is already kinda affecting the market with people not wanting "dirty bred cubs" and again, you'd still be wiping someones work that they put into a dirty cub just so you can get a rare "clean" cub.

I can kind of understand that, and can respect your view on this. I guess I just don't see it as much different than chasing - other than the fact people seldom chase mutations, high stats and the harder to pass markings.

But as I said, it would be only activly obtainable for one month it wouldnt be an over abunance of acess to it, so in theory it wouldn't be tons of heritage cleaning going on.

As for priority-

Dirty high stat, mutie, and special marked cubs could actually be sold for more because of the possibility that it could be wiped cleaned. Therefore the hardwork would pay off in a way and open up the market for dirty breeders during the CL trend or during the event the item was implamented in. Wouldn't that level the playing field as far as sales go?

As far as breeding goes it also gives clean breeders more options it would be exspensive on their half but it keeps things in check, in theory, I think.

About the whole hard work factor-

if a person has paid for a cub....its- well its theirs to do with as they please. Its kind of the risk you run selling them. Just like how people kill, chase and reserve cubs all the time after purchasing. Its still alive and wont wipe out "previous prides" information so it can still be tracked back to the one who took time and effort breeding it.

I guess I dont 100% see how this will completely hinder the dirty breeders when it wont be a common readily available thing. Am I overlooking something about breeding long term?

😄 i am very very grateful for all the imput though, its helping me see flaws and tweek the idea. [And sorry I keep writing books 😌 ]

Yeah but those chased girls are that, chased girls. If i sold a cub I'd be kinda annoyed if someone just wiped my pride from its heritage so they could have a CL cub basically without acknowledging it. When I chase a girl, I don't care who claims it but i like checking lions I've sold on occasion, and like i said, I'd be kinda annoyed if I saw it had a blank heritage.

And i never sell my cubs for fodder prices, yeah if they want to get rid of it that's their choice but if it's alive and well, it should have its heritage.

? But your pride still shows up in the "former prides" section it still points back to you as the breeder it just is genetically blank. Everyone would still know who the original breeder was. So the credit is there.

X.x im sorry I think im just confused. But you pose a good point of view for others to consider and I do thank you for that. Im just sorry i myself cant understand in full.

You can still wipe generations of lions that went into that cub though, stats, rare marks, CL cubs could definitely end up being more priorized then they already are, and that's my issue with it, especially since the July storyline. Whole topic though, back to the point, you want CLs, people can breed em themselves with their own projects people work on, even as a "rare" item well that cub that's rare breeds other rare CLs cause none would be related to him/her and you still end up with CL prioritization. And what's the point of heritage at all if someone just erase it all for their CL project.

No support - I think it would be way too easy to clean up lines and mess up that entire aspect of breeding. I get that it's a challenge to start from scratch if you're looking for clean lines with high stats or rare markings, but I think it would really crush the market for those who have these extensive breeding projects that have taken a lot of time and effort to yield certain stats or markings if people could just buy a cub and wipe their heritage. If the breeding aspect of the game wasn't so big, then this could be a good idea, but the fact that breeding is a huge part of the game on lioden means this would erase a lot of hard, valuable work that people have put into breeding projects.

Either way, inbreeding and/or connections to the big 4 literally does nothing to penalize a lion, so I think that the idea of "clean" lines just adds a bonus challenge to players who choose to focus on breeding clean lines. The fact that there's no damage done by dirty lines means you can just completely ignore them without consequence other than personal taste of not wanting inbreeding in your pride.
