Support! But I think hemophilia would fit better if it were treated like Deaf lions are in regards to mortality, and be able to die randomly from 4 months onwards, because it's already scripted and would take very little time to implement it. However... As far as I know, being hemofilic means you lack a certain factor that intervenes in blood clotting - there are more than one factors, so there are different types of hemophilia. Animals licking their wounds helps with the clotting process because their spit contains factors that promote clotting, so it is interesting that, while their own spit could lack them, a non-hemophilic lion could lend a paw as it were to help them heal a little bit. If you took this and made an entire overhaul of how things work, perhaps adding a survival counter to adult lions with mutations such as these, it'd make sense to give them special daily interactions to heighten their chances of survival, just like we do with cubs until they grow up into teens. Hemophilic lions could be licked regularly (why does it sounds so bad) so they didn't die from minor wounds, deaf lions could learn from tussles and play-fights to pay more attention to vibrations and smells, same as blind and eyeless ones, who would learn to pay more attention to sounds aswell.. Each interaction would fill their survival counter, and every RO it would drop just like those of unprotected cubs does. It could even be helped further with amusement items 0 players like this post! Berenos I think I like that Idea a lot actually, and if they start to decline you'll get messages in your rollover summary, I just have NO Idea how to summarize that to put it on the main post because it all seems important! 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Noxis Those ramblings could be summarized as adding a survival counter to certain mutated lions to substitue the current Deaf system (from 4 months to 4 years old they could die any day, and after they reach 4 years old die for sure), with unique daily interactions that help their chances of survival by filling a certain the survival counter every time you do so. It wouldn't even really need different interactions. Grooming could boost significantly the survival of hemophilic lions, tussle and play that of deaf, blind and eyeless ones, and amusement items in general would help boost their chances a bit, too, just like with cubs, and every rollover the meter would lower at random, with flavor text for major drops - again, just like with cubs. If hemophilic males could patrol and females were able to hunt, it also adds the possibility of things "happening" to them during patrols and hunts, and thus having a rare chance of them being "injured", which could cause a mahor drop of their survival meter - it could lead to a special, non-daily interaction to "lick" their wounds and boost it a little bit, too. I really should stop making things more complicated, shouldn't I? 0 players like this post! Like? |

*High fives* Hell yeah bleedy buddies! Luckily VWB isn’t AS serious as hemophilia, but they still have to give me special meds before surgeries. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I love this idea, especially since you put in the information of males having it far more often, however I think that perhaps they should be able to be kinged, but have a longer cool down between pvp battles and a stat decrease rather than simply saying that they cannot be kinged. The specifics should be left to admins imo. Still, the reason I think this would be a good idea is because the Gene is carried on the 'X' chromasome. This means that a female can carry the Gene, but unless the father has the mutation there would be no chance of the female cubs in a litter having it. That said, the sons of a female carrier have a significant chance to have this mutation since they get their X chromasome from their mother. This would lead to a hefty amount of cubs with this mutation. The mutation in nature is believed to be a direct product of inbreeding and the game doesn't allow inbreeding to affect mutations. If that were to change then female cubs could have a higher chance of randomly having the mutation. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Possibly use the mechanics of the Haemophilia's that make more sense and just outright ignore C? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support, but no support on hemophilia not being able to be kings, maybe if kinged, the lion has a debuff against enemies? Maybe sometimes they get scars in battles? 0 players like this post! Like? |
