Coding Update!

Yay! It's a coding update! Bug fixes, tweaks, and new cool stuff!

New skins and eyes!
We present new smol but cute content for you!

New Custom Skin - Dusky
Dusky is a new custom skin, tinted with gentle purple to match recent event bases. It will also from now on be the new default skin for the Pulsar base.

New NCL-Exclusive Skins
Greige, Pale, and Clouded are new NCL-exclusive skins that you can hunt for, just like Peach! Greige is a mix of Grey and Beige - it's a new, very cool-toned, soft greyish shade. Pale is a bit lighter, but warmer than White - and Clouded is actually using Pale as its base, with Dudley-like blotches, heavier mottled streaks, and patterns on the toe beans.

New NCL-Exclusive Eyes
Mosaic, just like Glass, is a new NCL-exclusive eye colour. It looks similar, yet different enough - hence the name! Its genetics are: Mosaic 30%, Glass 5%, Blue 20%, Green 20%, Sapphire 10%, Emerald 10%, Peach 5%.

New Title
"Sapphic" is a new title for your kings, unlocked when you equip a Lab Test Frog to your main male! Everyone who currently has a king with Lab Test Frog equipped automatically has the title unlocked for them, yay!

Fitted Profile Pictures!
This is VERY exciting for us, as for years we have been struggling to make profile pictures for your kings work with custom decors, decors for mutations, and so on. Katze's famous felis Queen/King showing a butt is a great example - the decors were always cropped to show the universal decor placement, while the actual lion placement for most mutations was zoomed in to its face, thus causing decors to look messed up in the profile pic.

There were many ideas that we had, but they would have either strained the server, or required us to generate millions of decor files for each cropped picture. Finally, though, we found a solution that would instead simply zoom into your mutation's main picture for a profile shot, without generating any server strain! Yay! Look at how Katze's Queen/King changed from Butt-Felis to lovely Custom-Decorated Queen!

Now, this was a huge update, and the testing for it generated many laughs (as well as many frustrated and funny insults directed at Xylax who asks too many questions during tests). Here's some bloopers:

Hopefully, from now on, your Jolly-posed Queen/King won't hang in the air, your Dwarfism king won't have its custom dwarfy decor hanging above its head, and Felis females can enjoy non-butt looks!

This is a GREAT update for us. It took many, many work hours, but it was great preparation for future mutations with heads in various places, and decors for them will finally show exactly as they would in their main picture. <3

Keep in mind that this update only worked on profile pictures. This is not an update that fits decors to mutations!

Tweaks:
* The Magpie encounter in Explore (granting shiny stones) has been upped in rarity
* The event encounter with Fireflies appeared during daytime by mistake - this has been fixed to show only during night
* The Cloud Forest now takes two uses of amusement items to enter, rather than two individual amusement items

Event Bars:
We've lowered the firefly bar in accordance with current player activity. We will be monitoring its progress closely. Further adjustments might come if required.

Fixed Bugs:
* Tigers Eye not allowing decors to be equipped
* Ability to purchase beetle skins despite not having GB and going into negatives
* Frozen lionesses displaying in Black Stallion dropdown
* Black Patches showing normal mane for Tsavo teens
* De-frogged males with a pose trying to show posed decor still
* Breadcrumbs for beetle mounds
* Eye colours not in alphabetical order in dropdowns
* Pressing "enter" when renaming caves causing pages to reload
* Primal (Felis) displaying in Lion Scrotum dropdown at all
* Default selected Reptile Roundup level not working if not manually selected

DOUBLE UTERUS CLARIFICATION PER USER REQUEST
1. The first breeding always generates the final cub amount, which is doubled from the start, whether you use a second stud or not. It makes it worth breeding with just one stud entirely if you so choose, allowing you to reap the Double Uterus benefits with a single father as well.
2. The second breeding does not generate more cubs; however, it will overwrite half of the cubs with the second stud's genetics, like in any breeding for a normal litter.
3. Items that affect litter sizes should be used during the first breeding. They will not affect anything during the second breeding, because the litter size has already been determined upon conception.
4. Items that affect bases, markings, etc. are useful for both the first and second breedings, depending upon which genetics you want to carry over onto the cubs.
5. Items that affect mutations will not double your chances with the second breeding. The second breeding overwrites existing cubs in the womb.
6. If the first breeding used mutation items and generated cubs with a mutation, you run the risk of them being overwritten in the second breeding.
7. If the first breeding had no mutations, it might be worth it to use mutation items on the second breeding to overwrite half of the "empty" cubs for that second chance.

Scrying your litters helps with such decisions.

Thanks for your votes! It's always great to see what community enjoys the most and we love to adapt to those preferences in future updates.

LINK - New poll! We're planning some mane extension decors for females, since you guys like to lab frog your kings so much. It gave us an idea. However, like with all decors, there are a few recolours to do, and we thought: should they be flat-coloured manes, or perhaps more fancy recolours, like... for example, Ebony with light streaks? What would you prefer?

Due to loads of testing, Xylax had no time to update the new eyes, skins, or July bases for mutations just yet; however, along with planned big mutation files update for next Friday, from tomorrow onwards, files will be updated daily in big chunks! - Mutation file status
