Not needed, this game isn't a one click game and if someone's fussed if you can't breed again, it's only one click away to look at the lion xD not that hard

As they said, a new player may not be familiar with when a lioness can no longer breed. I made that mistake when I started and I'm willing to bet i'm not the only one that has-

Its to simply prevent people from getting scammed out of a raffle where they think they might be able to breed a dwarf one last time before shes too old, or they might get a chance to take the last heat of a leopon from a raffle.

It'd be nice for me personally, and if someone else doesn't need it, then they can disregard it. I'm sure there are even experienced players who accidentally buy lionesses without realizing they're too old, so even then, it's not only a notice, but a reminder, too, and having it right in front of your face would ensure people getting what they want.
