I was the first to breed Ebony + Royal Ebony maned lions in the game. ♥

First Double Ebony Rose Ebony Lion Born in the Game - August 15th, 2021

~Tips on Breeding All Things Ebony~
Placed each category under a spoiler due to how long they are. ♥

Ebony Base

You don't have to have an Ebony based lion to breed for an Ebony based cub! As long as the genetics can equal Black Dark Solid Uncommon, Rare, or Special you'll have a chance at breeding one.

You also don't need a Rare or Special based lion. As long as one of the parents has an Uncommon base you can breed any Rare base if the Genetics add up right.

While any combination that can equal Black Dark Solid Uncommon, Rare, or Special can work, it's better to breed a Black Dark Solid Uncommon, Rare, or Special lion with another Black Dark Solid lion.

Example; A Golden Light Solid Common with a Black Dark Countershaded Rare could throw an Ebony. However it would have a greater range of fails as opposed to Black Dark Solid Uncommon, Rare, or Special x Black Dark Solid Uncommon, Rare, or Special.

While any Black Dark Solid Uncommon, Rare, or Special base can throw an Ebony, it may be better to avoid Interstellar, Nuummite, Velvet, Spectre, Haruspex, Harbinger, Haze, and Incense if you are breeding specifically for Ebony.
These are Special Bases that require one parent to have them so they will not pop up randomly if neither of the parents have them.

However, if you do not mind possibly getting them in place of an Ebony based cub, then there's certainly no harm in using them!

Bases that are best for breeding Ebony and where to find them;

* Onyx, Black Dark Solid Uncommon; Applicable via Base Changer from the Oasis
* Ebony, Black Dark Solid Rare; Breed Only
* Noctis, Black Dark Solid Rare; Breed Only
* Nuummite, Black Dark Solid Special; Applicable via Dust: Nuummite from Crafting 50x Gem: Nuummite during November
Haruspex, Black Dark Solid Special; Applicable via Trained Haruspex from the Harbinger for 30 Eldritch Tokens during September
Harbinger, Black Dark Solid Special; Applicable via Harbinger Body from the Harbinger for 30 Eldritch Tokens during September
Incense, Black Dark Solid Special; Applicable via Token of Anubis during July
(Should be available from Anubis Temple this year but I don't want to jump the gun just yet. xD)
Velvet, Black Dark Solid Special; Applicable via Favour of Anubis from Anubis Temple for 400 Khepri Beetles during July
Spectre, Black Dark Solid Special; Applicable via Spectre Body from Shaman Shop for 250 Scarab Beetles during November
** Interstellar, Black Dark Solid Special; Applicable via Interstellar Remnants from an extremely rare World Drop during July
** Nadir, Black Dark Solid Special; Combo Base, Breed Only. Has Ebony as a Combo Factor
** Styx, Black Dark Solid Special; Combo Base, Breed Only
** Haze, Black Dark Solid Special; Raffle Base, Breed Only

* My personal favorites. Fairly cheap, readily available, or easy to craft.

** Interstellar and Interstellar Remnants, Nadir, Styx, and Haze tend to be expensive, and I don't really recommend using them specifically for Ebony.

An older thread, but if you're in need of a Black Dark Solid stud, my boy's pretty good at popping out Ebonies + he has a passable mutation that goes excellently with BDS bases (Patches). I'd be willing to lower the fee.
