*trigger warning* (i guess)

Im kind of freaking out yall, so theres been this man named kirby wallace on the loose for almost a full work week now and for most of the time hes been suspected to be about an hour to thrity min away from me, but we just saw searchlights circling over our area of woods and around our neighborhoods and i checked the case and apparently hes suspected to be in our county as of 3 hours ago. Im like having a mini panic attack this is like something that would happen on a tv show.

Hes suspected of seven possible deaths and hes robbed/carjacked like three other people and im like seriously freaking bc i dont have a window that locks, my window is ground level, my siblings are in the house. It may not be something to worry about but im still scared as hell.

Idk what I should do but I think I might be going to a freinds or smth if this keeps up cause i cant handle all this...

I hope your alright! I don't feel qualafied to give advice on this issue, but definitely do what makes you feel safe. Is there an upstairs in your house? Maybe you and your siblings could bunk up there if you think that would be better.

Do you have any friends that have any firearms/other forms of protection? I'm sorry if this isn't the best advice I like in a small town in the middle of hecking nowhere and I've never been through a situation like this.

Yikes, that is plenty scary. I hope he's captured soon. Are your parents home as well (assuming you still live with them)? Maybe share your concerns and see if y'all can go stay with family/friends elsewhere until this is over with?

Even a small things like going to a more easily defended room, baracading the doors, staying with other people, may help. Make sure to keep your phone on you so you can call the police if you hear anything strange.

Oof n fun. I agree with everyone else. Stay alert, but don't panic. Make sure doors are locked. If you feel safer going elsewhere, you should do what makes you feel safest. But yea, keep your phone on you and such.

Agreed. Talking to those in your home about your concerns could prove to be helpful and maybe even a little calming/reassuring. All sounds like fair advice. Stay safe

Wow, id be panicking as well if this was happening to me 😖 stay safe ace!! And i agree with what everyone else is suggesting. Stay with a friend or at least in contact/on thw phone with someone close. I hope this creep is caught soon :/

That is terrifying and I hope this guy is caught quickly. Perhaps tomorrow you could go look into getting some deadbolts instead if you don't have any?
