My indoor/outdoor cat Toby lived to be 21, he was a goddamn tank of a cat. Their average lifespan is only 15 years or so based on my history with cats being indoor/outdoor [which is imo as healthy a balance as we can strike, given many of our cats have been feral rescues etc that require outdoor time to be happy and not stressed], so Tobs was our amazing boy. Poor lad didn't have an easy life either, he went through some crap even when he was old, he was just... persistent. I babied him near the end too, he slept under the covers w/ me when his temp regulation stopped working as well

I think it would be fair to say clan cats don't age as quite as fast as real life feral cats for a couple of reasons.

1. They get medical care in the form of medicine cats. Obviously not as good as vet care, but better then anything the average feral receives. This also lets them still have ready access to food if they are sick as well which is again a luxury that normal ferals don't get,

2. No cars and fewer crazy people. True they would still have to deal with natural predators and traps, but so do country cats as well.

Yeah, a former leader. IDK how long ago we decided, but it was recentish [either Gingerstar's predecessor or the one before her during the time just before Gingerstar was born].

If Turtlesplash was named after her the difference in their ideals is hysterical lmfao

Turtlestar is like a more dramatic Gingerstar, extremely volatile and aggressive, prone to using her claws and teeth almost as much as her words. She was a great military leader, but reckless and was killed leading her own cats into battle.

Anyway though, Redeye's gonna have a fun time explainin his way outta this one

NGL Turtlestar is who I based Gingerstar's personality off of. Turtlestar was the leader in the last version of this RP, but bc I brought back Weaselflight I didn't want to bring both of them back in so I settled for the new crazy one lol

Hopefully Storm's reaction is alright! She doesn't want to kill him bc she needs information out of him but she's in a panicked mode now and the claws can and will fly with too much more pushing. She's trying to get them out of there so she can question Redeye and figure out what he did to her brother bc even though he didn't hurt him she thinks he did now

@Zesha- Woaa thanks for the roster! With Patch probably joining Duskclan, the sides are a bit uneven so right now, Duskclan gets priority characters. Also There will be kit slots open too!

For age reference help: Cats in the clans can become elders around 5-6 years. They usually die around 8-10. Due to the constant fighting and such tho, this is a rarity.

*I will also note, if you want a really older cat to have a romance, try to keep the ages in mind. IE: A 68 moon warrior and a 15 moon warrior would be, while not wrong in the context of the real world, would be a bit odd because we've anthropomorphized the cats lol.

@Razz- Fine by me hah.

Just remember all that actions can have consequences. NPCs can be lost and gained as allies, characters can get hurt. :P
Also, I have no idea how the Turtlestar conversation started but I love it.
