Yes the title says it all. Using items to stud to different players. Because you don't silver beetles or gold beetles, but have junk or unwanted items? Why not use them as payment when you go to stud that handsome looking boy or lady of your choice. It'd would be like a drop down or checklist menu, either click or drag down to select the items and give it to the stud. Yet there's a catch. Your stud want's 200 SB, 1 GB, or 20x Fire Opal Gems. You would be able to choose which of the payment options you want, (let's say 20X Fire Opal Gems) , which you have and than happily pay your new baby daddy/mommy. The stud would be able to choose what items they will take as payment. There could be an option to have a "Are you sure?" warning before continuing the transaction. This would also be togglable, meaning you can turn it on and off. To sum this up, have items as a 'currency' for studding. They get items, you get cute babies. Good and bad critique appreciated, other ideas to add on to this idea would be cool. Thanks. Edit: Numerous Edits in main post. Small items like explore decors would not be accepted. Togglable. Items must be equivalent or greater than studs studding price. Studs would be the ONLY people to decide what items they will take for studding. |

I understand another user above mentioned they don't see people wasting energy for 1sb type items, but unfortunately that is an unrealistic call. Having played Lioden pre-minimum stud fee, people listed their boys for 1SB all the time out of generosity and ended up ruining the market with their good intentions. At this time I cannot see a way to have this added and also maintain minimum stud fee to keep the stud market in an okay place. No support for now. ![]() Edited on 02/08/18 @ 15:47:23 by Kraft (#738) |

@Kraft, I was just using explore/insect decor as an example. But maybe common decors like those would not be accepted, due to the fact they are only just common items found in Explore? ![]() |

I like the concept but it feels like it'd be hard to execute properly. There would have to be a regulation set up so certain options are available but not everything. Like the collective total of items would have to match the MB prices as the minimum. But even then MB undercuts so it still wouldnt be great XP I'm sure its doable but kind of hard. ![]() |

@Flyteck I totally agree. Maybe have a certain # of stud slots be limited to this option? Again, items that are too commonly found in Explore, like the insect decors would not be allowed. Yeah the MB undercuts a lot of stuff. Totally agree on that, but what about items that are only used once a month? Like certain gems, Chaos scales, event currency that is collected and left over? Maybe someone wants to hoard them for next year? Or those shiny rocks? ![]() |

I think this would complicate things far more than they need to be. You can always sell items and get sb, no support, sorry! :( ![]() |

I dont want to be that person but I think this idea is terrible. I agree on the whole its gonna decrease and ruin the studying value, and personally it makes me feel like I'd get the shit end of the stick if this ever came to pass. Sorry I dont want shit items especially if it doesnt equal the value of the stuffing fee. You wrote it fine just I highly dislike this idea but that's my own opion. The lioden studding and sales economy is already shit. Lions would be worth practically nothing. V.v sighs again though my votes no. ![]() |

@Kyvoki the idea is that you would choose items people would pay you in to stud you :) so you would be able to have people pay you in 10 rhodonite gems, for example, and not get a random aloe leaf from someone who wants cheap studding. ![]() |

Still against it even if you were to choose which items others would have to pay. Again though thats just me. ![]() |

Honestly it's easy enough to just PM the owner and ask them if they'd take items. This seems complicated and unnecessary, sorry! ![]() |

As long as the stud can decide what items to accept (or turn it off), I think it's a good idea! Adds more variety. ![]() |

I can see lion owners just accepting Buffalo Balls, GMO cows etc. for their "regular" lions, same as in raffles, increasing the "greed" all over Lioden and being frustrated when people don't want to stud anymore. We've got hundreds and hundreds of items, the programmers will sit there for months if not years to implement it since "that item can be asked for" and "that item hasn't a value" or "that can't be added since too cheap" etc. If someone aks for 40GB for a stud and I think I rather want to offer them my GMO cow, then I just send them a quick PM. I also wouldn't want myself to add dozens and dozens of items and options (as in "20x Labradorite gem" or "10 Lab gems + 5 Cow carcasses" etc.) since this takes way too much time. Also, carcasses, would they even be an option? People could just offer 1day-left-carcasses and somehow trick others into a studding they wouldn't accept because they can't even use the food etc. Also, the search option for stud fees, just imagine a huuuuuuuuuge loooooooong list with hundreds of options you'd have to mark or each new search you'd have to start in order to check for all the items in your hoard if someone is looking for them. I could see the items being organized in categories, like "food" and "breeding items" and "feathers" and "unneccessaryshittnobodyneedsorwants" etc. but then it would still be way too complicated in my opinion since I can just PM the user and say "Hey buddy, I've got this and that, would you be interested in any of that for a stud of your king?" Good idea at first thought, but no support from me, sorry. :c ![]() |

@Sarabi Thank you for your feedback! But I will say the option would be togglable, meaning you can turn it on and off as you please. I know something like this would be lots and lots of coding to input, but I honestly would see that items that probably would expire may or may not be used. Depending on how far this idea goes, of course. I say personally food would not be added to something like this. And I see the downfall for studs that only want Buffy Balls and other breeding items. They may or may not get popular depending on how their lions look or impress other players, personally I see it a 50/50 chance of succeeding and failing all around about, but ideas like that normally do have flaws. I fully supposrt your decision for not supporting my idea, but thank you for your feedback! ![]() ![]() |

How'd it ruin the market? That doesn't make any sense to me, in my opinion studs aren't different? Like sure they have applicators and stuff but in the end they're all pixles? ![]() |

I think this idea is great! A few suggestions to make. First off, there are just so. Many. Items. Decors, backgrounds, all the good stuff. This could lead to a really long list that might be annoying to sort through. Sure, you could search, but I was thinking maybe it could be that the stud writes what he wants in the stud box, like a wish list. You are free to offer whatever, and the stud is allowed to deny. If you keep on spamming the stud with useless items, he could a) block you so you can't stud with items but only SB/GB, or b) report it and a mod looks through it. If the mod finds it reasonable they can give you a ticket, etc. Really support! ![]() |

I dont support because it is actually easier to get and find Sb then it is decor. My lion when he explores does not pick up very much decor, and the more expensive decor I wouldn't want to give up for studding. The other less expensive decor I like to use as toys or bedding for the cubs. ![]() |
