Hi everyone! Recently joined and very excited to be apart of the clan. I like horror movies, reading, gaming, and practicing mindfulness. My breeding projects are usually very simple, I'll try breeding for a specific base and just accept whatever marks go along with it. Lately I've been trying to get more breed-only markings as well though

I work very slowly towards a goal, because I don't like to spend a lot in terms of buying tons of lions with the base already (or factors, if I'm going for a combo base). So I'll start off with NCLs or find cheap lions in the TC that have the base genetics that I need (minus the rarity). Then, if it's not a combo base, I'll breed to lions with the base I want until I get a cub with that base.
If it's a combo base I want, then I'll try to breed first for one of the factor bases (ebony, for example), and when I get lots of lionesses with that factor base, then I'll breed to the combo base I want or to another factor base that could get me the combo base I want. It is a long process and often not successful, but that's why I play it more slowly, so I'm not expecting to get tons of results.


As for markings - Your best bet here would be to stock up on NCLs (because they have fewer markings). Find kings with the specific markings you want, take note of what slots those markings are in, and breed NCLs that don't have a marking in that slot to that king. You do this so that the markings your lioness has doesn't compete with the marking you want from the king in that slot. Then if a cub ends up with a mark in that slot, it'll come from the king (or it'll rarely be a random rosette).
Keep any cubs that have the markings you want, and you can breed them back and forth with the kings that have the other markings that you want. You'll likely end up with some inbreeding, unless you are very strict about who you are breeding to, but it's do-able!

Side note: I like to use NCLs for things like this because they have fewer marks, and if they happen to have a mark in a slot I need free, it'll only take one marking removal app to remove it instead of several that you might need for other lions with more marks.

Also as for opacities - you can look for specific kings that have higher opacities, however my own preference (if I have the GB saved up to do it), is to buy marking opacity changers and just change the opacities after I get the marks I want on my lion

Meanwhile I do huge breeding projects with no real goal other than to make profit LOL

I just mass breed NCLs (sometimes using breeding items) and then sell all the cubs
