Welcome to the Clan thread! This will be our main form of communication and page for guidelines and tutorials on how to host and/or create travelers. Having been the strongest going Traveler Clan for five years, we are strong advocates for the safety and fun of an old classic forum game of 'pass the ball' with lions. Our eventual goal is to become a legitimate function like the sister-site has had implemented! Click me to Support!

Rules
1. Respect Travelers.
Everyone has their unique way to set a traveler. Please remember to be mindful and check the rules of a traveler when obtaining them and abiding by them. Treat others as you'd like to be treated!
2. Stealing Travelers/Decor is Strictly Prohibited.
Taking decor or lions with zero agreement between the owner and yourself will be an immediate removal from the clan. You will have a single chance to amend this action, otherwise you will be permanently disallowed to return. Side accounts included.
3. Decor Etiquette in Value.
Despite anyone’s individual rules, I do want to put this one in place that goes for everyone. If you take a decor, make sure to replace it with one of equal or higher value! So don’t take off someone’s Sphinx Mask and then replace it with a Blue Skimmer.
4. Understand the Risk of Travelers.
Travelers are risky business! Please remember that you are accepting the potential loss of decor/travelers you send out. We cannot guarantee 100% safety since we are not a full function of the game (yet). If you have too much of an endearment to a lion, it may not be wise to send them traveling.
5. Clan Hoard is Closed but Accessible.
The clan hoard is open but you must message an admin with what you want and what you are going to be trading for it! This should be something that is equal or higher value to the item that you are wanting to grab from the hoard, or you can also donate SB to the clan for it. An admin will set up a trade for it!
6. Do NOT send travelers without Consent.
ALWAYS message a member before just sending them a lion. Especially if this is someone outside of the clan. This will minimize lions being chased/killed because they were not wanted. Any members that are not messaging first will be booted from the clan
7. Do NOT send traveling lions off in Main Chat or Giveaways.
We have had an increase of traveling lion thieves that have come specifically from sending the lion in these chatrooms. If you are a clan member, send all lions to other clan members or back to the original owner and educate on the dangers of sending in main; you are welcome to mention this clan too. You can use this thread to send travelers along with the discord.
8. Only Create Two Travelers at a Time
In order to keep the pool of travelers lower than the amount of hosts available, we ask that anyone that makes travelers to only send out 2 at one time. You can host as many travelers as you can feasibly handle! Once you are ready to create a new traveler, message one of the admins to have them 'retire' from our Roster!
9. Traveler Roster and New Hosts Roster and Forms.
All travelers need to be added to the roster if the owner is in the clan. This is highly recommended to help you keep track of where your traveler is going and others to see how many are out and about now. Check out the Roster section for more info!

As seen in the rules, all clan members need to fill out [this form] to add their travelers to the roster! This roster is mainly here to keep track of how many travelers are out and about and actively traveling. If your traveler returns home, please contact an admin of the clan to have them set as 'retired' on the roster!
New Host Form and Roster [New Host Form] Fill this out when you receive a Traveler to show you've hosted them! [New Host Roster] A list of hosts with what travelers they've hosted!
This form and roster are to act as a record to keep track of the whereabouts of each traveler! By doing ctrl+f, you can easily search and see where your travelers are going and where they have been. This will generally not need to be edited, and travelers won't be removed from it unless asked!
Anytime you take in a new traveler, as a clan member, you will need to fill out this form. If you are sending off a traveler, you don't need to fill this out!

What is a traveling lioness?
A traveling lioness (or cub) is a lion created by someone that is then sent to someone else who then sends it to someone else and so on and so forth. It’s like a chain letter, but more fun!
What do I do with one?
Hunt, play, feed, write a little snippet of what they did while in your pride, etc. People will put their own guidelines of what they want for the lion, but just be sure not to go too crazy. You can also decorate and sometimes even add or change markings.
I added a decor, what happens?
Really, this is up to the original owner. There is ALWAYS a risk that it won’t come back to you if not explicitly stated. We are not liable for any losses. Only thing we can do is put out a warning of anyone that abuses the system.
Someone stole my lion! What do I do?!
Unfortunately, the mods will NOT help with a stolen lion. This is a risky game, and because we use the gifting feature usually, the person that received it now owns that lion as theirs and it is up to them what they do with it. Reporting the member or modboxing it will not go anywhere
What you can do however, is message the person that is holding your lion. Politely ask them to send the lion back. Offer to let them keep the decors the lion had, or offer to pay for the lion. Sometimes this will go well. If they still refuse, there's nothing else to be done. Do not hound them, do not threaten or drag their name. After politely attempting to retrieve the lion, DM an admin with all information you can and we will handle the rest as we are allowed to do.
My lion is stuck on a banned account, can I get it back?
We have had luck with modboxing it, explaining its a traveling lion and showing proof that it was ours (There was a separate thread for her, plus an ownership ID and traveling information in the bio), and was able to get her moved back to the proper account. Be polite with the mods, have proof ready if you can, and they will more than likely move the lion back to your account!
Where do I send a traveling lion?
We HIGHLY recommend that you do NOT send traveling lions in Main Chat or Giveaways. We have found that thieves are prowling for traveling lions in these areas. Instead, send them through clan groups and/or of people you trust! Our clan is obvious, as we are all about traveling lions, and you can offer to send off in the thread or in the discord

This can be a little daunting. But its really simple! Simply pick a lion.
!! Keep in mind that people usually have more female territory slots than they do male slots, so maybe only send out a male cub/adol to be returned when they turn 2
Lionnesses and cubs are usually better received as people have slots open for them
Because there are more unsavory people out there, try not to send out a lion with a rare mutation, rare bases, marks, or eyes, and rare or hard to find decor. This will lessen heart break if the traveler somehow becomes lost.
Make sure to pre-secure the lion by hitting the ‘Secure Lion’ option in the Lion’s details so they’re not accidentally chased off or killed. Plus its one extra step for those that kill travelers and might work as a deterrent
Sending A Traveller

It is required of anyone in this clan to give the intended receiver a courtesy message of “Hey I have a traveling lion/ess/cub and was wondering if you would be open to recieving!”. This prepares the sender, and lessens the chance the receiver might kill the lion because they don’t have any slots or just simply don’t want any traveling lions. A lot of people have text on their den pages that says they don’t want traveling lions, so make sure to check those out to.
If you’re on mobile, you can opt to see the desktop site. If IOS, click the box with a little arrow sticking out the top and slide all the over until you find the button that says ‘Request Desktop Site’ and click it.
If Android, tap the menu button and click the same button as IOS
If you have HTML turned off, consider turning it on just to see the den page for such a message and then turning it off.
Do be careful with who send your lions too, many people offer to take the traveler and then end up stripping and keeping the lion. Be mindful of what decor is on the lion! Unfortunately, there's not a great way to tell if someone is going to keep a lion. This is why our clan is heavily based on trust and community effort of traveler safety!
If this does happen, send the person a message and calmly ask for the lion back. Do not demand it back, do not harass them repeatedly; some negotiating may be necessary to attempt to get the lion back, but it will not always work. If the person refuses or ignores you, unfortunately we don't get much help from the mods. At that point, I would simply block the member and inform the clan admins of the situation. We and yourself cannot post any sort of 'blacklist' on the site as it violates the TOS.
If someone asks what a traveling lion is, you can direct them to this thread or the clan page! Or tell them that its like a chain letter but cooler :D
Making A Bio

These can be as detailed or minimalist as you want, but here’s a few things you should definitely add if you want the lion to return to you:
1. Your user ID - This will help people find you if they can’t find someone to send the lion on, and to whom they should return the lion back to
2. If you want to get your lion back, at what age you would like it returned to you!
3.If you allow people to breed your lioness, and a note if you’d like the cubs or not
4. How long people can host your lion
5. Include tips on how to prepare the next sender! Some people might be new to it, so just give them a basic lowdown of how they should send the lion on to someone else
Here are some things you could add in addition to the above:
1. A long term goal. Maybe you wanna see how many bird decor your lion can collect, or maybe you want people to send your lioness hunting and see how many stats they gain by the time they are returned!
2. Starting stats, markings, decor.
3. A spot for people to put the decor they added and their ID so if they want it back, it can be easily returned
4. Going along with the previous, a spot for people to add story snippets of what your lion did while visiting their pride
5. A link to the clan! Bring everybody together and leave a link to the clan so others can join us!
Adding Decor

One of the main reasons most people do traveling lions is to collect decor. It is NEVER mandatory to add decor, you can simply contribute to building their stats by patrolling them, hunting them, or adding a story snippet of what they did while you were hosting them.
Decors can really be anything, but a good rule of thumb to follow if you’re swapping decor is to swap decor of equal value. A quick search in the TC or branches will tell you the value of the decor
You don’t have to add a super expensive decor, but try not to add decors that are super common (such as Common Raven or Ogre Faced Spider) ((unless of course it fits the overall theme of the lion, then go for it!)) Decors from events are a great way to add something unique, especially those decors that you can get a lot of duplicates of
