 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

A young, strange looking "lion" skipped amongst the grasses of the cavern; her pelt was black, pink, and other quite odd colors..but her body looked nothing like a lion! Could it be? A tigon had approached the cavern in awe of the small cubs, unfortunately her eyes grazed past the remaining adolescents. "Uhh..I'm looking for a.." She looked down at the ground, seemingly as if she had some 'note' written somewhere, but that would be silly, "..Am..Ambaia?" She said, biting her 'lip' slightly as she realized how much she possibly butchered the name as she looked around the place, knowing cubs probably were not of much help. 0 players like this post! @Romeo The Black Rose Amabala extracted herself from a pile of cubs and padded over. “I’m Amabala,” she said. The newcomer looked strange, but she recognized her scent as that of a pride that had adopted cubs here previously. “Are you looking for a cub?” she asked. @PyxelPanda Shelela purred. “I’m sure she will,” she said, giving the cub a lick on the head before sending her off to her new home. 0 players like this post! Adonia looked up at her, "Oh thank goodness, I was so worried I was in the wrong area!" The tigon's ears folded back as she let an awkward smile slip her jaws before she looked back at the cubs and approached three of them, her bum happily wiggling, "Uh..let's see..Daisy, Celestia, and Terra right?" The three cubs nodded, staring at the tigon in awe. They had all heard of such creatures before but had never seen one in real life. “I told you they were real,” Celestia whispered. Dragonrain and his newest queen, Dragonfiare, enter and begin to look around for new blood, better hunters and perhaps some new friends for the cubs of the pride. Dragonfire finds a cute little cub that seems to match the pride mantra and strikes her as a dragonkin so she goes to speak with the cub. Meanwhile a foldie catches the eye of the king, and he goes to speak with her. Dragonrain and the foldie The deep red king approaches the foldie, being careful not to startle her, "Such untapped potential, it's sad to see you sitting here when you could be out with a hunting party, I think my queens would be able to bring out your potential and make you into the queen you deserve to become." He said softly, "If you come with me, I will make sure that you are trained and shown an inner strength you've never known." HE said softly as Dragonfire approached him, with her chosen cub. Dragonfire and Angel DRagonfire smiled as she approached the cub, seeing boundless potential. "Hello little one, my my, what a glint in your bright eyes." She chuckled as she sat, "What say you come with us, my king would love a cute little fireball to liven things up at home. And besides, seeing new places must be more exciting than sitting in a den all day." She added with a smile. She then watched the cub as she started towards Dragonrain. Once Dragonfire smiled and looked to the cub she had chosen, Dragonrain smiled and then looked for one of the Broodmothers, first seeing Shelela and approaching her, "I can offer a stallion and trio of Vulture eggs for the pair." HE said with a gentle tone and kind eyes.His personality suited adoption well since most that he adopted were very happy in the end. 0 players like this post! Like? |

The female smiled happily, though her stripes weren't exactly tiger-like, she was growing into them. With a happy grin, she jokingly proposed a race across the river into the territory, whoever was last had to eat a rotten mouse! Byunhyun had reappeared a few days later, early in the morning when dew still shone against soft, thin leaves of the plants surrounding the adoption home. Her scruff dangling from her jaws, Byunhyun brought the red and brown cub into the den. Doe whined for a few moments as her paws meet the floor with a quiet thud, before racing away from Byunhyun as though she was a plague of locust. Doe's ears were flattened once she accidentally crashes into Shelela's pale gold fur. Humming calmly, as if it was perfectly normal for an innocent cub to run away from the heiress, Byunhyun cast her gaze over to the lonely male cub named Falcon, who was gazing at her excitedly, unaware of her cold, suspcious aura. "I would love that cub, please," She stated with no interest whatsoever in her tone, rather flatly, actually, to the new broodmother. "Suho would be pathetically excited over another one of these... cubs." She paused, then smirked at the new scent flooding her senses. "A new caretaker, hmm? Cant say I have smelled that fragrance, its quite lovely. If it weren't for you acting like a stammering, blundering mess, such a shy lioness, I see." 0 players like this post! Orbis walked into the cave, deciding to see what other cubs there were. Berry caught his attention as she played with other cubs. He smiled as he watched her play for a moment longer before padding over to Shelela. @Loey Amabala stood frozen, unable to think of a response. It was a good thing Vikela was out of the den, or the visitor would have had her face clawed. Glancing over her shoulder, Amabala realized that the other broodmothers were both busy. She steadied herself, then spoke, choosing to ignore Byunhyun’s judgemental comments. “You can certainly take him,” she said, trying not to let her fear show in her voice. “I hope he will have a good home in your pride.” She watched the cub follow the lioness out of the cave, knowing that Vikela would likely track them back to their pride later to make sure the cub was alright. @OceWolf Shelela grinned. “Yes, that’s Berry, and she is avaliable.
