 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Amabala tried to purr but found it impossible. Isiphepho had cared for her when she was just a cub and her mother was off hunting. The silver lioness had also taught her everything she knew about caring for cubs, and was the only broodmother that was capable of dealing with Vikela’s fiercely protective instincts. “Thank you,” she murmured to the visiting king. She then padded away to help the newest broodmother learn how things were done, as she had just joined the pride a few sunrises ago. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He sighed a little, but he had another motive to why he was here as well. Being a new king, his other lions were becoming elderly since they were from the last regime. It was impressive, they had been alive for so long. He walked up to a different broodmother, one that wasn't as grief-strucken. "In these..times, I might as well help bring homes to the less fortunate, I'd like to take in Ramen, Strike, and Storm, if possible," He smiled weakly. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lux sauntered into the nursery and walked along, looking at the cubs for a while. He approached a calm looking, jumpy pale brown lioness, "Hello! You must be Ambala... Call me Lux." He nudged the adolescent he was hoping to take home toward her, "Who is this little gal?" He asked. "Ramen..." She said then drew away shyly. He smiled a bit and asked if he could take her, "Come and see... um.. sit here" She said then bolted away, avoiding conversation. So he sat in the cave awaiting a reply. He thought about possibly adopting another cub, but he could not spare much food, and the lady he picked was gorgeous, he didn't care her stats, and she was perfect! 0 players like this post! @Romeo Vikela twitched her tail, signaling those cubs to come over. Although she had not been quite as close to Isiphepho as the other broodmothers were, the lioness’s death still quieted her usual fiery spirit. “Of course you can take them,” she said, nuzzling each cub. With a giggle, a silky furred lioness approaches the area, a big smile on her face. "Our nursery is open again! We're very sorry for the delay and everything, our king was not in a great mood and we must tend to him first afterall," Her smile was very wide, glad to be able to be the one to announce this grand news. 0 players like this post! Byunhyun, or rather Baekhyun, strolled through the den, her head dipped to the ground. Her fur was once again glossy and gleamed against the daylight, but slightly matted and unkempt, as though she was forced. Padding side by side, a beautiful cub and a colorful adoloscent followed soon after, their scents entangled. The heiress strided towards Vikela, a rare occurence. "Hello, Vikela," She greeted, same as usual, with her cold, honey-sweet voice. "Please do not call me Byunhyun anymore as..." She closed her eyes with an awkward smile. "My pride is quite different. We have this sort of ceremony for heirs and heiress' a few years before we are queened or kinged, and we are stripped from our original birthnames. Then, we are given new ones by the current ruler." "Anyways, I am here to deliver an adoloscent and a cub. They are close and do not wish to be seperated most of the time." She explained, all the while beckoning the two nervous little ones closer. Azula padded into the cave. She'd not been here for a while or rather not yet, as Sibro, the former ruler, was too old to continue ruling, and she was searching for a young one to train for when her time would come to pass on in the future. She didn't want to not have an heir to the throne ready when she too became to old to rule as well. Her gaze fell upon Fire Dancer, a nice looking young male. She found Shelela and went to her. She took a deep breath before continuing. “Thank you for bringing the cubs, we will try to find good homes for them.” @OceWolf “Yes, he is avaliable,” Shelela said. Cami a young brood mother timidly approached the den, her King had sent her out to find a new pride member, usually the king would have sent one of his sub males but this time it could not be done that way. Cami quietly and carefully approached a pale brown lioness, Amabala. "excuse me...but I heard a rumor your pride might be giving away some cubs" the lioness spoke quietly and avoided eye contact.
