 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

Mane Burst’s eye was on Robin. In his eyes she was a very pretty cub. Mane Burst always preferred exotic looking lions to join his pride. Mercury padded quickly into the adoption center. He scanned the many cubs and his eyes fell on Zachery. His dark stripes was a marking Mercury had never seen before. And his white pelt also interested him. He walked up to the prides king and asked “May I take Zachery? He would fit quit well in my pride! We will take great care of him!” 0 players like this post! The soft crunching of the dry grass under the lion's heavy steps brought the attention of several cubs to him. The lion was an odd sight, with a leopard headwear and a tiger bodywear. No one seemed to inform him that it did not match, or maybe no one wanted to. His face was almost entirely scarred, and several claw marks could be seen down his flank. The soft rattle of chains accompanied him as he walked around the adoption center, analyzing each cub he passed, snorting in vague recognition of a few. However, he stopped in front of two, his attention seemingly piqued on the cubs. The lumbering lion, with surprising gentleness, brought his head down low to meet the little cub's line of sight, lightly nudging the two with his snout. A small, almost imperceptible smile graced his features as they mewled softly, before he brusquely raised his head, startling the poor cubs. His gaze flicked around the room before he spotted the responsible lion. With no introduction, as he thought none was necessary, he spoke up. "Are these two up for adoption?" They came from the same pride, you know.” @Yazmin Khanya walked up to the lion. “I’m so glad someone has finally picked Sadie. She’s been here for so long I was worried that she’s never find a home.” She nuzzled the golden adolescent before she left to go to her new home. @This is a name Mnyama’s eyes brightened in excitement. “Oh, Robin is a beautiful cub. I’m glad she’s going to a good pride.” @Aspen The king nodded. “Zachary is a good cub. I’m sure he’ll fit right in.” (@Lexx— the cubs you asked for had already been claimed, sorry! The male had returned. It was his third visit now, but he had heard tell of a very, very special cub here. Although he already had one lion with folded ears, he found the rare trait endearing, if not overwhelmingly adorable, and he couldn't help but make the long journey again. His mind wandered fondly around Kunja, his own foldie, and the joy she would feel when he returned with another like her. Although no lion in his pride ridiculed Kunja, he made sure of that, it would be beneficial for her to have another cub like her. And the lioness would jump at the opportunity to raise a cub, after having lost so many of her own. Wino's soft blue eyes fell upon the beautiful cub, with a pelt the color of grass in the dry season, as she rested quietly in the shade. Wino's heart seemed to skip a beat at her ears, as they always did around foldies. They truly were the most adorable lions. With a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth Wino turned to Khatiba, the nearest lioness. "Hello!" He called, trotting over. "Is this cub for adoption?" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Admiral has walked further into the unknown, past the familiar comfort of his territory. With him, was a very good friend, Red Raven. Even though Red Raven was not the Queen of his pride, he loved her like a mate. "Remember when we used to explore like this when we were young?" Red Raven purred. "Yes I remember" Admiral suddenly paused, seeing something up ahead. "What's that?" Red Raven asked curiously, "I don't know, but I'm going to investigate" Coming upon this shelter full with cubs, he stopped. Instantly preparing to turn around and go in the opposite direction before Red Raven noticed. Too late. "It's a cub shelter! How adorable!" Rushing forward she looked at all the cubs, before flopping in the middle of them. Grabbing the closest one to her, was a pretty black one (Rainy) "OK we can go now, we have enough cubs at home" Admiral said impatiently. "Oh come on, just one please?" Red Raven held the small black cub up and gave Admiral the big eyes. Admiral sighed, he has yet to not succumb to Red Raven's wishes. "Remember how you found me?
