I apologize if there are already any topics out there like this; I haven’t seen any, so I thought I’d go ahead and make my own suggestion!

Now, if I’m remembering correctly, frozen lions don’t get any flavour text. That’s almost a little awkward, isn’t it? You have all these mortal lions in your pride to chat with, and then there’s just...Frozen McGee. Sitting there. Watching.
To put an end to this tragic situation, I thought it would be pretty cool if frozen lions could have their own flavour text! I understand they may not fit with specific mutations if you have a kid with one that’s been frozen, but I tried to make the ones written below as fitting as possible for all lions without mentioning specific traits.

A few examples:

”You come across (Name) surrounded by cubs, telling them a tale of the far-away past. Or, at least they’re acting like this is some ancient story - you remember being there when it happened, two whole days ago.”

“You decided to ask (Name) why they never hunt with the rest of the pride. They seem to hesitate for a moment before, face blank, they ask you the same thing. You’re suddenly self-conscious.”

“You and (Name) were having a great time basking in the sun together when they suddenly let out a loud groan and announced that they felt old. You tried very hard not to roll your eyes.”

“Taking a nice little stroll through the territory together, you and (Name) were having quite a deep conversation about their past relationships with other lions, and how it feels for them to have been alive for so long. After you question if you’ll meet again after it’s your time to go, they answer ‘yes’ - and, with a grin, say they’ll make sure to keep the next king in line. You can feel a sob coming on.”
