This guide previously tried to list out how much lions go for typically, but lets face it, lions aren't as valuable as they should be anymore on the market so this guide is how to price fodder and how to surmise a price for those hard to pin down lions
—— how to price check —— |
---|
Main Chat is a great place to ask for a price check on a lion
HOWEVER
You can easily price check a lion yourself by following these steps one at a time first, then combine factors to see if there are any other similar lions
1. Go to Trading Center
2. Go to the Lions tab
3. Start out with the age of the lion you're looking to sell
4. Then the gender
5. If the lion has a mutation, start with the mutation and hit Search. Note the average price for the mutation
6. If the lion doesn't have a mutation, start with the base and hit Search. Note the average price for the base
7. Now type in the stats of your lion with the above 3-4 things and hit Search. Note the average price if there are any similar lions
8. If there are no other lions with the same or higher stats, then look below to the Stats pricing category and add accordingly
9. Markings, eye colors, etc typically aren't going to affect price, at least not how the market is working now. EXCEPT FOR: Rosettes and Draconid eyes. Both these are pretty high priced, no matter the base or stats so this would be the point you clear Base and/or Mutation factors and just search for the marking
10. Add base + stats + special markings + mutation for your total price if there are no other similar lions
Let's go over an example
Say you have an unfrozen, female, 2 year old, divine leopon, with Ebony heavy rosette, and 300 stats
We're going to go through our steps
First I'm going to look at all leopons listed in TC and weed out any frozen leopons and any that are older than 6 since mine is 2 years old and has a ton of heats left
Then I'm going to type in my stats
At time of posting, there were no 300 stat unfrozen leopons
There aren't any so I'm going to note down the average price for just a leopon: 100GB
Now I'm going to clear the leopon mutation
I'm going to put in Divine Base Color, Under 3 years old, and at least 300 stats
There is one with those exact factors, and it is 10GB but it has Mottled Stripes, so I'm going to take off the stats and years old factors
The average for Divine is 5GB. If the mottled stripes one had been the only one in TC, I would've looked at lions with Mottled Stripes to see how much they are going for and take that off the 10GB divine lion I found
Using the stats prices below, I'm factoring 100SB into my total price
Next I'm going to put in my age, gender, and stats factors and look at lions with Ebony Heavy Rosette markings. Keep in mind you want lions that just have one EHR marking. The average for an EHR is 3GB
For this particular leopon, I would price it at 115GB because its the only on in TC, while also keeping in mind all the factors that I've researched
Surmising a price is all about some research, and also supply and demand. If you're the only lion of your kind on TC, add a few SB/GB to make a little profit off that. Don't be too cocky and add a ton more simply because your lion is the only one of its kind being sold
Another thing to keep in mind is to price at the value of the lion. Not at what you paid to get or make the lion. I see too many lions listed that have been customized with applicators, MoDs, and even marking removers from trying to get the right marking, and being priced at how much they spent customizing the lion. You are NOT going to make that money back, because only you value that lion at that, not what the end product is actually worth. Price the final product with the steps above

—— gender —— |
---|
Females will always sell better than males. Females are the heart and soul of Lioden, and without them there would be no lions to sell. Take into account the other things in this blog when pricing
Males are like adols, sell when at 100% training or as a desirable adult sub male. Males are more likely to sell when they have over 400 stats, as then they can be grinded for stats to one day be kinged

—— stats —— |
---|
Stats are kinda in the middle of importance, but a lot more people breed for stats than they do looks. Having higher statted cubs will make them more desirable, and you can get a pretty penny out of them if you get them up high enough
One way to get high stats is to breed to high stat lions, whether that’s studding them to high statters, or purchasing high stat lionesses and having a high stat king. You can also train them in the Cub Training and then patrol or take them hunting as adols and get them to 100% training. Once they age up, they’ll get a stat boost which is determined by successes in cub training. So train them everyday, and the patrol/hunt as adols to gain more stats!
— 0-100 Stats —
- 25 - 50 SB
— 101- 500 —
50 - 100 SB
— 501-999 —
100-300 SB
— 1000+ —
10 GB per thousand

—— when to ask main chat —— |
---|
Price checking in main chat is always okay, you don't have to go to Sales or Help, however do a little research before asking
A good example of when to ask in Main Chat, is there are no other lions for sale with any of your factors. Such as if you have a lethal cub, and there aren't any for sale in TC.
Using TC on mobile can be tricky, so price checking when you don't have access to a desktop is also a good example of when to ask Main Chat
Another time is when there are less than 10 lions for sale with similar factors to yours, and they are all wildly priced differently because of stats, extra special marks, etc.

—— Trading Center —— |

The TC is an important resource when pricing, though unfortunately you can’t always find the lion you’re looking for for sale. Also make sure to pay attention where you put your price. The second column on the ‘Create a Trade’ Screen is where you put your price. It will always be ordered in SB over GB, so make sure you price it correctly. Some people will buy a wrongly priced trade and return to the creator, but others won’t be as kind
The name of your trade is important. Don’t just label your trade ‘Cub, Lioness, Enclave, etc’ people are less likely to click on it. Instead, you could include the stats, base, # of markings, and/or mutation in the title. These things are what are important to people and are the most likely to get you a sale
Combo trades are also great ways to get a sale. Say you have a lioness with a special base, pair it with a CRB and sell at lioness price + 500 SB (half the price of the CRB). Anything you combine with the original product, sell for half the price.
Keep in mind, you most likely will get lowballed on mutations, and you have every right to reject an offer that you deem to low. Don’t let them message you and guilt or bully you into accepting their offer. They can’t do anything to you
Another thing of note, don’t buy into ‘promise transactions’. These are ‘I’ll give you a GMO cow, if you give me your tigon’ and not utilize the trading center for it. Always use the Private Trades tool in the TC for transactions. Don’t even do promise transactions with friends. These transactions will not be covered by moderation

Ending Thoughts |
---|
I would love to hear any others thoughts or adjustments! I’ve seen too many guides that go into detail of what base and what mark exactly are worth, and honestly I think they put too much faith in the market. This is a more practical guide in my humble opinion. Feel free to reply with any extra advice that you think should be added and I’ll definitely consider adding it if I feel it relates to the practicality aspect of this guide
I am also happy to answer price checks in this thread, but please have at least tried to price check yourself by using this guide.
