Terragas love living where they do, up in the desert cliffs, overlooking the sandy desert below. Their wings allow them to fly from one den to another, which are all made using their powerful front paws to dig into the soft material of the cliffs. The cliffs here, unlike most places, are made of clay. The place where they live used to be a river, which is where the clay comes from. The water is now long gone, but the Terragas are well suited to their home.

Terragas horns are strong and have sharp tips. but are actually hollow. Terragas are able to store excess water in their horns that their body can later use to stay hydrated. Their paws have hardened pads that are great for walking on the rocky surfaces of the cliffs they live on, and completely resistant to the heat of the sand, yet are extremely sensitive to the cold. Their massive wings can be used to shade themselves. Their three tails help keep the Terraga cool. Their tails are always warm, releasing the excess heat from the Terraga's body like a jack rabbit's ears.

Terraga generally eat cacti, using their horns to slice open the fruits, and their tough mouths and tongues allow them to chew, and swallow, the cacti with no regard to the prickles. The average size of a Terraga is about 3 feet up to the shoulder. Because of how large they are, they generally don't have any predators out in the desert, with their ability to fly away to safety, having their horns for fighting, and their powerful legs for pummeling their attacker.

Terraga live in large groups called shades, based off the name "Shadow Makers" given to them because of their tendencies to make large shaded spots with their wings. This species is quite intelligent, continuously showing signs of knowledge and domestic actions. They will intertwine their tails to show affection towards one another, and even trade feathers from their wings once they've decided to mate (Not a permanent pairing).

Terraga are amazing pets to have, as they have a natural sense of loyalty and devotion to their owner.
