So, we have a flood pit. Why not a shop for dry season? It could be called something like, 'the dust baths' or anything dry-season related and could function similarly to the flood pit, with decors and applicators costing SB. Maybe even a few new applicators? (Madagascar/Arabica markings come to mind since they're brown)

#103950's suggestion from discord:
'Maybe some quail npc!
Cuz dust baths'

Forum Additions:

- 103364: Special bone markings applicator maybe? Dinar marks?

- 147189: I think this would be a nice touch! I think maybe the NPC should be a lizard or rattlesnake , because they are known to be able to survive droughts and such idk; Also maybe you could find decors like cacti, and instead of frogs there's lizards, and maybe some backrounds that are like 'grassland drought' or 'dry riverbed'

I think any brown/cream/gold applicators would work well honestly :o

Well, there are longer dry seasons then wet seasons... would this be something that lasts maybe a week?

You should be able to find animal skulls there, cactus decors and maybe some exclusive backgrounds

Entirely support!

@Pvris - I'd think that it should last the entirety of dry season - or maybe, if the admins want to make it even, just for the same amount of time wet season is on?

@Soulty - thank you for the support :3c

I think since the dry season is more common, the rewards shouldn’t be as rare as the Flood Pit at the very least

I love this! Though I think itll take a while before it's implemented, or a lot of its decors will be recycled from August (droughts and fires) and January (famine). That could be the tradeoff maybe: it would be available longer than the Flood Pit, but with fewer unique items, moreso a chance to get specific Event decors for SB.

If it has wholly unique items though... Maybe to balance it with the Flood Pit, this shop would have one set of items per rollover? So whilst the Flood Pit resets at 12 AM and 12 PM LD time, this shop could reset only af 12 PM, so roughly the same amount if items are available despite it lasting longer? Or maybe it works like the Flood Pit, but only on the last three days of the Dry Season, when conditions are toughest.

(Also, rattlesnakes are not native to Africa- perhaps a sidewinder comes in from the desert? A shovel-snouted lizard, aka that dancing lizard, would be so cute! Or a few meerkats dig up some goods? Elephants are known to travel long distances in droughts, so a wise old matriarch could also make for a great vendor.)

The new poll made me think of this and I’m glad it was already suggested! Everyone prefers wet season and so do I because of the floodpit, it would be nice to have something for the dry season!

If the NPC running the shop is a snake, it would be cool if the shop was only open at night during dry season, as a lot of snakes are nocturnal! The shop items wouldn't have to refresh every time it switches from day to night, just a thought
