After doing a bit of reading, I'd like to propose a little tweak to Poacher Chase and Fire Escape to either fix the motion sickness they cause, or at least narrow down the people affected by it. The option to reduce movement effects is lovely, and personally I'm now able to play it without suffering as much as without it, but I think there's something else that could be done to make it an even better experience. You see, motion sickness in video games - often referred to as "simulator sickness", because it was first discovered with flight simulators - is believed to be caused by the disconnect between your mind that perceives movement and your body, which is still; it is triggered when there are 2 or more different movements on the screen and there is a lack of something our eyes can focus on. How does this apply to these two games? With the reduced movement option, we have 2-3 different "objects" moving: the ground, the obstacles and the beetles floating around - I am unsure if obstacles and ground are synchronized, however, so I cannot say for sure how many. Personally, I have a difficult time focusing on anything here, no matter how much I try to focus on the lion we control, but sooner or later my eyes will drift towards the obstacles or the beetles that will later disappear off-screen, and this only gets worse when the slow-fast speed thing gets going. How could this be fixed? I believe that, if the ground along with the obstacles matched the speed the lion is moving, it'd be more bearable, as it'd make everything except the beetles move at the same speed, no matter if it is reduced or increased at any point. In theory, at least. Thoughts? |

Totally support a fix. While it's better with the reduce movement option, it's still quiet unbearable fr some people. I myself have a seizure disorder and have to sometimes stop early into the game to make sure I don't trigger one. Often times, I need to take a few hour breaks in between tries. Edit: And before I hear something like "Then don't play it" Keep in mind this event has graphic and triggering encounters, so this is the only way for some people to get currency. ![]() Edited on 11/03/19 @ 06:21:28 by Glimmer (Withered|Celes|PUTP) (#121082) |

Thank you for your input @Glimmer. However, I think there is a way to block explore images with some kind of addblocker, maybe? I think some people used that in the past to avoid seeing anything upseting in explore if they didn't want to, so if you use a computer there are options ![]() ![]() |

Support, entirely. I love infinite side-scrollers, even though they inevitably make me motion sick. This one is still... unplayable. I don't think "don't play it" is a good response no matter what anyway, since it gives out quite a bit of event currency. ![]() Edited on 11/03/19 @ 13:54:40 by Bezthiel (#81210) |
