I would love this so much omg. Steve was a huge inspiration for me as a kid and is one of the reasons I love animals so much. I’d love to see a sneaky little Easter eggish interaction of him in the game

Hell, if you wanted to go a step further, they could have them be a set of three encounters where if you got them all, you got an achievement called "CRIKEY!" with a description of "Isn't he a beaut!? You spotted this legendary human three times during his African adventures!"

A step further, and it could potentially give you a Steve Decor for each encounter. :')

I love this idea so much. Steve was a big part of my childhood, and I can't think of a better game to honor his memory in. His birthday is February 22, so maybe we could even see this implemented by then.

My ideas for Steve encounters:
- Pointing to a group of feeding crocodiles from cover while his cameraman films.
- Running into him and he backs up, making himself out to be no threat.
- Gently returning one of your injured cubs that wandered off.
- Documenting a rare animal, or the efforts of those dying rhino horns and helping animals.
- Assisting a group of anti-poaching rangers. (I don't think he'd get directly involved, he'd know better 'cuz he ain't trained to take on poachers, who usually aren't afraid to kill a man.)

I like this idea generally, but given this is a breeding game around corralling mythical, unrealistic (and sometimes deeeeeply inbred) creatures that look like lions, I'd only really be interested in seeing him vouching for NCLs and the value of diversity in nature. It seems a bit backwards to consider our actions and choices on a meta level vs the message Steve was trying to communicate being on the same level.

Since he was a real person, his values should be more critically evaluated and respected if used on this site.

While I completely agree with that statement, my only point I'd like to make is that some players who inbreed may feel targeted by this.

I like the idea above and carrying a deeper message, because all of his actions were intended with the well being of wildlife first and foremost. I think there needs to be a balance however, and not contribute to the sometimes heated debates over play style when it comes to breeding.

I don't personally mind. Inbred or not, I don't really pay attention - since all my pride idiots are meant to be living stars anyways or Deus Ex tributes which is inherently unrealistic - but I just worry players who don't mind inbreeding will be upset.

Perhaps it's best to skip over the lion aspect to avoid this, and show him interacting with other wildlife instead?

Support! Used to watch Steve on TV as a kid, and I was heartbroken when I heard what happened to him. Wonder if I can find episodes on YouTube for a nostalgia blast?
