Kind of alongside this, I was thinking that they could rotate the design out each year, and OG Wenet would be an option. So, eventually, newer players would get Wenets

I do like the cousin idea though, because then you can have a unique lioness, but Wenet should always be an option, rotating Wenet is just kind of the same cousin for everyone

Yes please! I like this new idea, but I've always absolutely adored Wenet, and I'm still not tired of her. I was looking forward to getting a new Wenet last year, and I was looking forward to it again now. If we were given the option to choose, then I could snag myself a new one on one account, and with the other I could try my luck at a cousin. ^^

You missed your chance at Wenet. Period. You didn't play when she was avalible.

I ALSO just started playing last year- account was made years ago, but I didn't start playing until then- and I won't get a Wenet, either.

I understand that's because I wasn't playing when she was avalible, and that's life. You don't always get everything you want in a game; and this will help make Wenets actually worth something, because she will be, essentally, 'retired'.

So you don't support it because you want them to be worth something? Doesnt really feel like they will be, anyway. Theres still lots of them in the game, most everyone got one. They arent mutated, and are way more common than a normal lioness. Besides, eventually they will all die.

It doesnt make sense, the whole "cousin" storyline, and I really don't understand why you dont support. Because you want them to be worth something? Or just because you dont want one yourself?

One of the reasons I love Lioden so much is how nothing (or barely anything) is ever gone forever. Everything is annual; events, their shops, their items. There's no "you joined x years too late, sucks to be you", but you can bide your time, wait for the specific month to come around, and then work for the things you want out of that. Hold onto the stuff for a couple months, sell them, even a newbie can get rich here. That's how Lioden has always been and that's how I've preferred it. There's no kickstarter items, no limited items no one can afford.. there are the advent calendar items maybe, but as far as I can remember, that's it.

Now apply this to Wenet. Suddenly she's not available anymore, unless you're rich or lucky enough to find and buy her from someone who still has a living one somehow. Maybe for now we're okay with Wenets still, depending, but everything dies in Lioden, like Mochi said. Originals and clones will die, markings will go extinct given time. Not saying that'll happen with Wenet since she's been around for two years, but.. give it a few more years.

Besides, someone else's random Wenet is never the one you quested for and claimed yourself. When the April event got a storyline and they made the NPC claimable.. man, I was so ecstatic the first time. It was so special and awesome, having the actual character in your pride, having fallen for your king. Why exactly shouldn't newer people have the right to experience that just because they joined a few years too late?

Thanks Kich. Also, I don't understand how having a big population of wenets is a bad thing. They didnt do anything except sit there. So why is there a reason to change it?

I don't really understand either. But I'd prefer if people were given the option to choose. Don't want Wenet for the 100th time? Then pick a cousin. Don't want yet another Wenet on the site? Again, pick a cousin. But you love Wenet no matter what, and either for the first or 100th time, you'd like to claim her? Sign me up.

Variation is good, really. I like this new idea, I really do. But I also like the good old Wenet and I'm really going to miss her. An easy way to please all the players of Lioden in this situation would be to make it an option, instead of "either or". It shouldn't be too difficult to implement either.

Yeah like Wenet could say " Maybe we could make this work..." and there would be claim her or then she could say "My cousins here too if you want to take a look..." and you could claim her instead. Idk im not good at writing but something like that
