Humanoid Halfling
Description: The most common species, holding onto around 37% of the world's population, as they are the most common species, most of the facilities are catered to them and ferals, but because of this, they tend to be carefree and slightly lazy, because of the simplicity of their lifestyle.
Status: Very Common
Stereotype: Stuck up and hard to approach because of their lifestyle, tend to be cheeky and lazy. They believe humanoids are cold towards other species because of their large numbers.
Features: Usually seen with animal ears, eyes and tails, which are the most common, but some have furred/scaled limbs, rarest ones are the ones with full furred/scaled limbs that cover up to their forearms and thighs.Fangs, claws and horns are visible. A few have been spotted to have both human ears and animal ears, but are very rare.
Examples: Fox Girl, Wolf & Rabbit Boy, Crow Girl, Bird Girl
Feral Halfling
Description: Ferals are the second most common species, right after humanoids. As stated, their lifestyle are more prevalent due to environments being catered to them. They tend to have misunderstandings and quarrels with humanoids. Usually seen as the rebels of the Halflings, hardheaded and stubborn.
Status: Common
Stereotype: Delinquents and gangsters, usually afraid of them because they seem scary and fierce, due to their appearances. Are very violent and aggressive, tend to shout and growl at people, which is not true. Rumored to have gone completely feral once because of their close bloodline with animals.
Features: Fully covered in fur or scales, they look like two-legged versions of their animal counterparts. Although rare, they can sometimes have humanoid looking faces that are covered with fur. They are stronger and more agile than humaoids, as they are more closely related to animals.
Examples: Dog Guy, Honey Badger Boy, Shark Girl, Feline Male & Female
Centaur Halfling
Description: Though slightly less common, they take up the most space due to their large animal bodies. Most equipment and environments don't cater to their large bodies, therefore they don't go anywhere too far from their communities, as it can be very difficult for them to fit in. They are cautious about their bodies because of this, generally kind and caring, though expressive, clumsy and stands out.
Status: Uncommon
Stereotype: Annoying and superior attitudes because of their large size, thinks they do not like other species because they are the ones that stand out the most and usually majestic looking. Think they still go by the old rule of only their significant other can ride on their back, although not true, they only let their most trusted friends ride on their back.
Features: They have a top upper body and a lower animal body, some can be seen with furred/scaled arms. They look pretty much like humanoids, just with a different lower body. If they have wings, they are on the animal half. They are taller than the other species, because of their animal halves.
Examples: Deertaur, Panthertaur, Arachne, Birdtaur
Faun/Satyr Halfling
Description: SImilar in population with the centaurs, the fauns are small in structure. Most equipment are suited for their uses, though some equipment or facility are easily broken because of their strength. They are very fast and are light on their feet, usually very athletic and bright. They love the outdoors and nature around them.
Status: Uncommon
Stereotype: Believe them to have a high and mighty attitude when it comes to sports. Seen as people who are taking selfies and boasting about their achievements all the time. Can use sports and athletic skills as an excuse to skip out on their duties. Very self-centered and selfish.
Features: Unlike the centaur, even though their lower bodies are also of a certain animal, they are usually two-legged, apart from lamias and scyllas. Their entire lower half is of a certain animal's legs, upper is humanoid. On rare occasions, furred/scaled arms can be seen.
Examples: Capricorn Faun, Lamia, Scylla, Bird Satyr
Shifter Halfling
Description: This species are rare in nature, they are not seen very often, or hide their real species, as they are the only species that has no additional features to their humanoid appearances, which gains lots of attention. As a shifter, they are able to turn into various types of existing animals. Transforming uses up a lot of their energy, therefore, they only transform when needed to.
Status: Rare/Very Uncommon
Stereotype: People believe them to turn violent when they transform into their animal forms, regardless of the animal. Believe they have to eat the animal they transform into to maintain the form. Think they are more vicious during the night, especially the full moon.
Features: There is no time limit for their transformation. They look like an average human, which is rare in this world. No claws, fangs, fur, nothing. They can only transform into a single animal and back to human, no in between.
Examples: Person A was born a Maine Coon cat shifter.
Hybrid Halfling
Description: Hybrids are the rarest among the species, as they are a combination of two different species of Halflings. Only under special conditions are they concieved, contrary to the believe that they can be conceived just by having 2 different parent species. There is only a 10% chance that parents of two different species are able to conceive a hybrid, and because of this, they are usually brought in for checkups to make sure there are no complications and to find out more about their physiology.
Status: Very Rare/Special Condition
Stereotype: Others see them as a species that need constant protection, are fragile and are often ill, as they are constantly asked to get checkups. Think that they are full of themselves because of how rare and special they are. Usually seen with different eyes and treated differently, thinking they have special privilege.
Features: Only specific pairings are able to conceive Hybrids. Any pairing with ferals and shifters. Humanoids, Centaurs and Fauns can only be paired with ferals or shifters. Shifters are a special case, as they can either have a species' looks and transform into an animal, or looks human and transform into a different species.
Examples: Feral x Faun, Feral x Centaur, Humanoid x Shifter, Shifter x Centaur
