Arcana is a Black Dark Countershaded Special combo or applicator base featuring purple, black and bright gold shades + speckles.

 This version is exactly the same, just with more saturation and brightness.

The original Arcana base was flatter, darker, and much less colorful overall. This is more or less a complete re-do and looks nothing like the old one, which is why I decided to create a new thread and start from scratch!

I'm going to keep a list of Suggestions from myself and all of you if you have any, while I continue to work on this base!

Suggestions

• Make it more marking compatible? (Will markings look good on it? Will the speckles throw off existing markings?)

• Rework colors around the head? (The head looks a little duller than the rest of the base.)

Like I said at the top, this is either a combo or applicator base! If it's an applicator, I think it'd fit in the Celestial event or an event with a magic related theme — it's inspired by the Arcana after all! It could also be craftable with a Dust applicator. Let me know if you have an idea for what ingredients could craft this!

If it's a combo base, my original idea was either (Ebony x Rough Ruby) or (Divine x Interstellar). Ebony and Rough Ruby account for the color scheme IMO, but so would Divine and Interstellar, which would also account for the speckles! Divine and Interstellar would make it an incredibly rare base, though. Could be fun, could be frustrating!
