I *LOVE* Whisper. I would be obsessed with that base if it were implemented into the game. Midnight is also beautiful. I feel like with those and Interstellar, you could have a night sky sequence... I honestly love the Whisper base that you made more than I love most of the real bases.... I don’t really favour the neon teal/red and black (undead & hellfire) ones, though. Those ones seem a bit like the kind of designs that you’d see back on deviantArt in 2008. And while there’s nothing wrong with a nostalgia charm, it doesn’t fit into a game like Lioden. Lioden’s coat genetics are based on more realistic designs with a strong artistic integrity, and rely on incorporating natural tones, desaturated hues, and lower contrast in between colour differentiations for a more subtle definition that gives a smoother flow from colour to colour. Obviously there are some exceptions, but if you look at the bright green base you see how much it already looks out of place. The difference between that style of neon colours, bright saturation, and high contrast conflicts with the iconic appeal in the style and designs on Lioden. I don’t think that they’d go very well with the markings and manes that exist in the game currently. Although ugly lions can still be generated with the thousands of different marking and base combinations, I think that the difference between the existing unfavourable designs and the way that a neon base like these would look is stark. I just don’t think that they’d work with the style of the game, and I feel like they cheapen it’s appeal a little bit, honestly. But that is just my opinion on those few designs. I do think that the new version of Hellfire is an improvement by far, however, I still would not personally support it. As for Undead/Lich (sp*ok is a slur, I believe, by the way) I think that removing or cleaning up/dulling the neon cyan airbrushing on the eye and ears would do wonders, and more evenly distributing the cyan speckles and working them in better. I would probably add a bit more of a countershading to ease the transition into the stark black, and pull back on the neon some. Again, this is just my criticism as I noticed that the post was open to them. And I do truly love Whisper! I wish that these where posted on individual boards though so that we could specify which we show support towards, as there’s simply so many options here.
