I think this is an awesome idea, and I think it would be really cool if it was implemented one day! However, as it is now, I wouldn't support it for reasons already stated. Animation does require a lot of work, and personally I wouldn't want those efforts to go to a background first.

This isn't a necessary addition - but then again basically NOTHING is. No decor, most muties, ect. (not to mention no one can speak for the coders *but* the coders, so don't let that get to you).
Just because doesn't won't make a big game difference doesn't mean it can't be worth it to just try and leave the suggestion up, who knows! Lioden is always adding new and interesting stuff, maybe this will be one of the things to get accepted in the future.

I doubt that this will be accepted any time soon, and if it is, it will be even longer before its implemented, but its not bad to at least try.

It sounds nice, I dunno though. Maybe stars glistening, fireflies? It's a good idea, don't scrap it, even though you have no supports now an admin or coder might look upon this and consider it. I dunno, considering people with animation sensitivities/making the lion look rather bland might throw it off, but maybe smaller animation portions can really be considered, especially since there were backgrounds that changed due to season and day/night. Maybe not full backgrounds, still I'll put my support on this if it gets considered later! There can be a toggle on/off animation too, maybe event exclusive backgrounds? Oasis ones?
