Complete WIP, as always with my guides I love input. I was originally going to write the contracts all officially, but it felt hokey in the end. Buying Heats and Reverse Studding: A Complete Guide + Contracts The Basics What is 'Buying a Heat'? Buying a Heat is when a player purchases a heat, or a lioness breeding to produce cubs, but not the lioness herself. What is a "Reverse Studding'? Reverse Studding, Reverse Breeding... it's all the same as buying a heat. The name comes from the fact that it's the reverse of a stud request. Instead of buying a male breeding for you female lioness, you're buying the heat of a female lioness. Is there an official way on the site to buy a heat of a lioness of another player? Yes. (Explain, link, limitations) What is a promised-based transaction? It's a sale, or other financially agreement made through messages on Lioden that are not formally implemented into any current sales system. Most promised-based transactions are not recognized or enforceable by Staff, but scams are enforced by staff. Where do I buy a heat? Sellers of heats often use the LF>Stud to advertise heats for sale of heats. Buyers for specific heats will often advertise what they are looking for in , or LF Lions or sometimes message owners very politely about selling a heat, though this is advised against in most part. Why buy a heat? There are primarily 3 reasons players purchase a heat of a lioness. In every case, the lioness is usually a very high value lion, hence why buying a heat over buying the lioness herself. 1- A highly valued and rare base that is hard to pass, best through 2- 3- Mutations. Any hybrid mutation (Leopon, Tigon) passes through the female, where other mutations need a lion scrotum fed to the female to pass. Players who want a chance at these mutations often buy heats and provide the items in hopes of getting a mutie. What type of rules are usual for buying heats? There can be anything and inbetween, but often the buyer provides all the items used and fees, and gets all the cubs. Sometimes discounts are given, or even free heats, What fees are typical with buying a heat? How do you use items are typically used when buying a heat? What are some average prices when buying a heat? Why should I use a contract when buying a heat? Important Rules To Consider 1- If selling a heat of a lioness, make sure she never leaves your den. Site rules, site contract blah 2- if buying a heat of a lioness, make sure you have a clear communications, or better yet a contract, that details the transaction over Lioden messages. These details include cost, cub distribution, item use. This way, if something goes awry, staff can step in and aid you. Staff can do nothing if it is discussed over a third party communication app. 3- Watch lioness to make sure items used. Contracts Buying a Heat: All Cubs Go To Buyer Hi there! I would like to buy the heat of your lioness ____. We have agreed upon the cost of ______. The stud I would like to use is _____ with the stud cost ______. I am also sending the breeding items ______ to be used on the lioness and the breeding items ______ to be used on the stud. Please use these items as outlined, they are not intended as payment. All cubs produced by the pairing outlined above are all to go to me after aging up for transfer, regardless of the mutation, base color, markings, or any other genetic factor. If a lethal is produced from this pairing, I am responsible for finding a jellyfish or canopic jar. If I choose to use a Canopic jar, the cub is still mine and will be transferred after the Canopic jar resurrection. After replying that these terms sound good to you, I will send everything over! Thank you so much! Buying a Heat: Split Mutie Cubs 1 player likes this post! Like? Edited on 24/04/20 @ 10:23:09 by Dalton π€ Wine Raffle Clone (#149557) |

What happens when the lioness gives birth? Are the cubs automatically sent to the user who purchased the lioness in heat? Or must I do that? 0 players like this post! Like? |

With the official system the cubs are held in like limbo for the 5 days after they are born, and then yes, they are automatically delivered into the other's player's den! ^ ^ 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Melody - If you purchase a heat through the reverse studding system, you will get the cubs in your Unsorted cave 5 days after they are born. They will be placed there automatically regardless of if either you or the person who owns the lioness rolls your account. If you purchase a heat through traditional studding, this is more on the honor system, and you will need to keep in contact with the owner of the lioness to make sure they send you your cub(s) after they wean from the mother (at 5 months old). Through traditional studding, you pay the owner the agreed upon price for the heat, they send out a stud request to a stud of your choosing, and then you can choose to use an IBF or let the lioness give birth naturally in 3 days. Then you have to wait a further 5 rollovers for the cub to wean. This second option being on the honor system means that you run the risk of the owner of the lioness keeping the cubs (at which point I believe mods could get involved to help out), or they could go offline for a long time, and you might not get your cubs then. Hope this helps answer your question! 0 players like this post! Like? |
