New lethal idea: missing limbs!
The way I think it would look is a cub sitting on its back legs with its upper body sitting up (the missing limbs are like lil stubs)
Or if the legs were missing the back, it would be laying down with its front legs splayed out a bit
I think the way it would die is a seizure or health issues ending up in its death.
I might try and add art later if I can!
