For the third time I have won a raffle that has had a placeholder item as the prize and a lion as the promised prize that has not been sent to me. I have also participated in another where the player took high value items as tickets, promised two high value lion as prizes and never sent them to the poor winner. In this case they were reported and subsequently banned but my suggestion is to ban these types of promised prizes in the first place. Yes there are the honest people who do send their prizes but there are also enough players who don’t; a raffle winner shouldn’t be worried about not receiving their item and having to chase it down or report someone. ETA: Several players have suggested changing the raffle system to allow lions to be raffled for longer than 2 days; raffle possibly auto cancels if lion is at risk of running. |

If this occurs, we need a raffle system revamp. We need a way to put lions into a raffle for longer than 48 hours. You simply cannot get enough value out of ticket if there is this limit time, especially if you're raffling a really high value lion/ess. I support, but we also need to improve the raffle system as a whole. 11 players like this post! Like? |

I agree that rather than ban these sort of raffles, the raffle system should be better changed to better support them and protect the players that invest their currency and items them. Perhaps banning those sorts of raffles could be a temporary bandage for the situation, but as Kraft said, it's very difficult to get the worth of an expensive lion/ess in 48 hours. Supporting as a temporary solution, but I think changing the system would be a better way to go about this. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I’ve done these “promise” raffles and always followed through with sending the lion to the winner, though I know some can be skeptical. Revamping a way to be able to have raffles run longer for lions would be great, not only for reasons above but also for us who are honest about it, since any lion we wish to raffle off would get the attention we want instead of someone passing it by to avoid a possible scam. Support, I hope something can be done. 0 players like this post! Like? |

It should be simple enough, just have the raffle auto-cancel if the lion goes below a certain mood or food threshold while the raffle is running. It would require the raffle host to maintenance the lion. Support, but the system needs to be improved. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

I also think lion raffles should be over 2 days long. You should be able to put them as a raffle that runs as long as you want it to run. I'm not sure why the 2 day thing is even a thing, perhaps there was a reason for it before I was around but... I like Angela's idea of it auto cancelling if the mood or hunger goes too low as well in addition to fixing what I said. 2 players like this post! Like? |

This is a fantastic idea, full support! I've seen this happen too many times, where it was a "promise-based" raffle, and the winner never got sent their prize. I also saw an instance where someone created a raffle like this and it turned out they were "promising" someone else's lions. It's too easy to take advantage of the system like this, it's not fair to the people who have bought tickets in the raffle, even if they don't win it. I also like the idea to allow longer than 2 days for lions in trades. 0 players like this post! Like? |

This needs to happen. Someone I know (and me) got scammed in a two headed raffle, the cub's owner didn't even exist. I hope the mods will see this recommendation 0 players like this post! Like? |

I hope the mods see this suggestion, the raffle systems could really do with a revamp to sort these promised raffles out. Always seems so sketchy when joining one. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm on the fence. On the one hand, these are promise transactions, which are considered risky but okay by LD staff. On the other hand, this kind of raffle is pretty fishy. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I fully support extending lion raffle times! Perhaps the raffle could auto-cancel if hunger goes below 70% and mood goes below 30%? (I'm that type of idiot who waits until lions are at 60% hunger to feed them and 40% mood to play with them, simply because I only get the notification reminding me to actually feed them at that point, so if the raffle auto-cancelled at 60% hunger, which is a raffle run time of 3 days before cancelling, I'd be a bit miffed) Raffles like these are really dangerous to enter; I'll only enter lion raffles in Clans because any loss is minimal anyways (usually 50-100sb/ticket, so not much). There should be a better system in place to make sure that raffles are legitimate. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 29/09/19 @ 13:20:56 by EntityofSilo (#107570) |

I hesitantly support because I understand that this does get taken advantage of, but I love raffling high value lions so I would like to see that two day limit extended at least to a week! 0 players like this post! Like? |
