-LOCKED - September's Big Update #13 | ||||||||||||||
Posted on 2019-09-13 13:30:03
DOWNTIME NOTICELioden will be down for maintenance at 2:05am Lioden time on Monday, September 16th. The downtime is estimated to be about 30 minutes in length to update software on the server. Mane Noble! A bit like the Mane Imperial mutation, Noble requires parents with specific mane shape genetics in order to have a chance to appear within a litter! This time, we'll reveal the secret to breeding right away: you need a parent with the Sideward mane shape and a parent with the Regal mane shape! Rock those bangs! But wait... We're also introducing Primal Fangs, a hereditary fail mutation, something new that we're trying out! This means that it will only have a chance of appearing if you attempt to breed a Primal lion and fail at it. There will be a chance with every breeding that your offspring will inherit Primal Fangs, rather than getting a normal, failed, non-mutated cub if any of the Primal mutations didn't pass. Think of it as a consolation prize, ha, ha. Or... just a runt? Primal Fangs can be posed, just like Patches and PIebald. We have added in a new Lion Wardrobe dropdown to accommodate for this posed mutation, and we hope to add more in the near future... perhaps Achromia, Overgrown Claws, and such. We're not able to do it for all mutations, at least in the near future, but it's a great potential change! So, for a little breakdown... * Primal Fangs cannot pass naturally * Primal Fangs can pass using a Lion Scrotum * Primal Fangs can appear in any Primal variation-type breeding that failed any Primal pass * To elaborate, Primal Fangs can be passed down from any Primal variation father (regular Primal, Felis, Ferus, and Smilus) and from a Primal (Ferus) mother * Primal Fangs can be posed! As promised, Noctis markings are now making their appearance on Lioden! We're starting it off with a set of Custom (Tier 1) markings that we found to be fitting: * Back; Back Spotting; Blanket; Brindle; Cape; Coat; Cover; Dapple; Dorsum; Face Carving; Facial Spotting; Frontal Spotting; Leg Banding; Leg Spotting Fading; Leg Spotting Strong; Limb Spotting; Mantle; Mask; Paw Carving; Paw Spotting; Paws; Points; Quarter Spotting; Ripple; Sable; Saddle; Shell; Shepherd; Smudge; Snout; Tail; Tail Banding; Tail Carving; Tail Half; Tail Spotting; Undersides We're also going to release a new Noctis Raffle (Tier 2) marking every week starting from today, including Community Updates, with every new Special Lioness! What's new this week? * Noctis Crackle! Now, all of these markings, plus the upcoming Event and Raffle markings we've prepared in advance took 6460 files to produce for all lion stages, mutations, and such. We've been working hard for almost a month to make this recolour. We hope that Noctis will be loved and become a basic choice for future markings! To avoid overburdening this update with so many new markings, we plan to release a second part of Noctis next month! But that's not all! You're also getting a Noctis mane base and Noctis body base! The base works like Ebony - it will appear if its genetics meet a certain criteria. Noctis base genetics: Black Dark Solid Rare As you can see above, there's also the mane base! We've decided it will be available via an applicator - Noctis Fur! You can craft this applicator. Details for its components are listed below, within the "New Items" section! New Gorilla Enclave Set The gorillas from the Enclave have brought in a new theme from the zoos around the world: Ganges Delta! Let's see everything that's in this theme set.

The retired set is moved to the Gorilla Enclave. Coffee Bay, Dindefelo Falls, Mayombe Forest, and The Serengeti are our chosen raffle backgrounds for this set - we thought they were very special! I love these big updates! My only "complaint" would be the hyena background, it looks stunning but I strongly feel like it's time for the bloodbath to become a craftable instead of more of the hyena lands I can't be the only one sitting with like 500 bloodbaths waiting for this day to arrive xD Admin Response: We're working on it! Artists need their inspirations too :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

Question How does breeding the new mane Mutation work. I mean you Said it is Sideward x Regal but how would you know if the cub is a potential Noble. Is there a new mane shape? Sorry I am a bit confused. Or will the cub have to have Sideward or Regal to possibly be the Noble mane. Because with Imperial Manes the Cub Has to have the Royal Mane Shape or it definitely is not a Imperial AMP. Thank you! Admin Response: Unlike Mane Imperial, there is not a new mane shape. The cub can have any mane shape that is passed down from Sideward x Regal, they do not necessarily have to have Sideward or Regal in order to have the Mane Noble mutation. The requirements are just that the parents must be Sideward x Regal. The cubs produced from that pairing have a chance of being born with the Mane Noble mutation! 0 players like this post! Like? |
