Wow. I've been pretty lucky with snakes, so I generally like them. There was one I encountered when I was a kid, which was apparently a cottonmouth, but it was just sort of hanging out sunning on a rock, so I just watched it for a few minutes and left it alone.
I like bearded dragons as well, I thought about getting one for a while, but honestly I'm probably just not getting pets aside from helping to take care of my mom's dog.

Niiice. Speaking of siblings and brothers and stuff, I have these "brothers" that I've known since I was like 2, the usual family friend thing, went to preschool and elementary together, but then I moved to go to middle school, and then they moved to where I had moved, and then covid happened. Anyways, they both knew that I will straight up DIE if I see a spider, so on my 13th bday one of em thought it would be funny to put a motherf*cking TARANTULA onto one of my gifts, it was kinda hidden by tissue paper so I didn't see it, imagine my reaction when I pick it up and stick my hand inside, only to pull it out with a tarantula attached . I don't even know HOW he got a tarantula, let alone made it stay in the bag, and no thank you, don't need to find out.

It didn't do anything to me, but I actually started crying for some reason, and both our parent's were like "WHY the hell did you have to do that???" but considering I pushed him into a river... I think it's even. I forgot about it until we started talking about snakeophobia or whatever. Fear of snakes. Snakes. Spiders. Same thing

I am severalty aracniphobic :) I HATE any spider LOL :) I would of thrown the thing at him and started beating the crap out of him LOL :)

My son hates spiders..
We don't get any dangerous ones here in Canada just some fairly big harmless ones..
But if he spotted a spider in the basement where he lived one of us would have to go catch it for him and throw it outside!

If I come across say a web I will not go any further till someone removes it, That is even I still go LOL :) Sometimes I will just totally freeze.. They freak me the hell out :) I love to hear a car run over like the tarantula's in hardy :) They pop LOL :)

I dealt with several aggressive snakes at my parents farm that we had to kill due to the fact that they may have bitten one of the kids, and I also had a time where I reached up in the old barn to turn the light off and a snake fell off the shelf and onto my head and down my arm. I ran out so fast and refused to go back in the barn for a week. I now check everything with a flashlight first. I just don’t do snakes ....or heights.

Yep! As long as the looks are 100% the same, mutation, stats, heritage, etc. don't matter

And @Forest I gotta say, I love your comment about beating the crap outta him . I mean, like all siblings, we would fight and kick and punch and bite, although since our parents were very "nature-y and organic" and still are, we'd usually be pushing each other into rivers and out of boats, or set up a literal snare. The good ol days lmao. His younger brother, who's 2 years younger than us, literally shoved him headfirst into the cake after he realized who had put the spider in the bag xD. I'd like to say he did it out of brotherly love, but I think he just wanted an excuse to shove his face in the cake.

And THAT is what most family gatherings and parties were like with us. Actually, that was what life was like pretty much
