I'd only be tempted to support if bases you could roll were common or base applicator bases. It wouldn't make sense to be able to roll breed-only bases, rare bases, or otherwise difficult to obtain bases.

I am on the fence about this.

From what i am gathering is they are wanting to keep the markings but put the markings on their heir (ie: Different base lion) but don't want the markings of the new lion.

Basically it would be this:
Say i want the markings off my king but want to use a Interstellar lion. I would retire the old king and use the heir but have a way to move just the markings to the Interstellar lion.

At least that is what i think the OP is saying. Correct me if i am wrong.

nah mate... if i could do that, i would buy a leonid and transfer all my markings, but that would completely ruin the fun of the game (of working to get your dream king). Also yeah, I agree with the others, breed only markings would be shit if this was implemented

while this could be something for common bases, we already have a Base Changer for 5gb in the oasis- it lets you change your base to a common or custom.

I did try to understand your take on it, but that still leaves the concept behind combo/breed-only bases (and also any other bases like applicators). My first time endlessly trying for a combo base was for Elysian, while it was hard and time/energy/currency/etc consuming, in the long run, it felt great to have a personal achievement. Im sure many combo base breeders feel this way and this item ultimately would bunt heads with the whole point of it, especially with all those combo bases out there already! The same goes for applicators like a Kiss from a Rose (blush rose) or even all the way to Favour of Bast (Alabaster). These are apps you have to buy from earning xx amount of event currency to earn them or in a storyline, you have to walk your way through the dialogue days on end during an event. Like I said before, it would defeat the concept/hyp of an event and exclusive.

Now, to discuss the breedable markings people are talking about.. the user isnt talking about changing markings at all but the b a s e. If they had the markings on the first king to begin with, all this item would do is change the base- not the markings.

It still affects the markings though because you’d simply be copy/pasting them onto a different base rather than actually breeding them onto an heir.

Yes it would technically be like copying and pasting, but from my understanding, their previous king would have the markings already. Its like mut/stat replacing in the end, you keep all the markings and other traits, but his heritage/stats/mutation would change.

but you wouldnt be transferring over the other traits.. it would come from the lion you‘re moving the markings to. This means you could transfer over breed only markings to a lion with, say, dawn eyes, ebony base, incubus mane, g2 or whatever, and make your "perfect lion" far too quickly. This would just ruin the market for breed only markings (if it hasnt been ruined already), and make special lions worthless.
