i think the staff team made dorsal fur unposable for a reason. why? because it would take much, much longer to add dorsal fur lineart to poses, then to make new variations of already existing coats and markings so it could fit posed dorsal furs. it's similar to why mane amps aren't poseable, as it would take more time that the staff team could focus on other things. nonetheless, i think with time, poseable dorsal furs could become a thing, but i imagine that the artists on lioden's staff team are already moved on from dorsal furs and are now working on mutations, june and july events, new bases, etc instead. with that all said, i am tentatively supporting because i DO want to see this suggestion implemented in time, I'm just unsure how realistic this suggestion actually is.

I think you're probably right that they made it unposable because it would take too much time. However, I would argue that it would greatly increase the popularity of dorsal fur. Especially if a lot of users seem interested in this, I think it might be possible to convince staff to implement this.

Imo the unposed dorsal fur is not super pretty, but if I could get an angry halloween-type posed lass or a jolly hippie lass, I would definitely king a dorsal fur

Full support! If they had just made dorsal fur on females use the mane color, it would be so much easier to draw poses for - and because of the placement (on the back) mane markings wouldn't need to be drawn. If they took that as a shortcut, I'd be down

All mutations that have a lineart change are not pose-able. Theyd have to significantly change how dorsal looks (the using base color and mane markings) to simplify it enough to be easily done and I'm sure many players would be very upset about that. Plus lioden has simply never done pose-able lineart changed mutes and likely never will, if they do it for dorsal they'll be pushed to so it for all mutes.

Actually @TheGayenaKing there are poseable line art changes, they are just much smaller changes than the dorsal fur. I think OG tongue, OG teeth, OG claws, blind, and primal fangs are all lineart/art changed poseable mutations

None of those poseable mutations you listed had a change in lineart -- they had a file layered over the existing lineart file, there was no change in lineart needed. hope that clears some stuff up, as what #74562 was correct, all mutations that need lineart changes (mane AMPS, maneless, etc) are not pose-able.

I don't understand why maneless can't be poseable since lionesses don't have manes, but nonetheless, I think dorsal fur should be poseable. They could even just have "general" colors that match shades in general. Lots of bases are similar enough that they could make it generalized and more basic.

I think the dorsal fur could have it's own unique pose? Like, for example, you know how the Tigon adol female is standing up, claws outstretched? That's just a suggestion.

Tigon and leopon have their own poses because they're a full lineart change, partial lineart changes like dorsal fur and amps arent pose-able

I understand your point, but simply because they aren't doesn't mean they shouldn't or can't be. I agree that the female dorsal fur should use the mane color as a way to simply things as well, it would make things much easier if this suggestion was implemented.
