Yet Another Art Contest from me! I've been wanting more Dragon OCs/Characters.. And since i kinda suck on drawing dragons.. Why not Art Contest for some §What are Dragons?- A dragon is a large, serpentine legendary creature that appears in the folklore of many cultures around the world. A legendary monster usually conceived as a huge, bat-winged, fire-breathing, scaly lizard or snake with a barbed tail and Dragons in eastern cultures are usually depicted as wingless, four-legged, serpentine creatures with above-average intelligence. The earliest attested reports of draconic creatures resemble giant snakes. §Why Dragons?- I love the aspect of "mythical but could be real" of the creatures. They dont get enough love - as far as art goes you dont see too many dragon OCs out there! Dragon Characters to look at; Igneel or Acnologia or any dragon from Fairy Tail Trico from the Last Guardian Haku from Spirited Away Toothless or any How to Train of Dragon Dragons (love the movie) ¤Rules 1. Feral Design - NO Anthro. 2. Original Art - NO Pre-made Lineart. 3. Since I'd probably get more art of them - I'd prefer Ref sheet or Fullbody. 4. You can enter multiple times - But Win Once! 5. Traditional or Digital - As Long as its Colored! 6. You gotta be okay with me posting to TH or other places (you will be credited) 7. Prizes & End Date are subject to change if needed. ΩWhat I LikeΩ °Weird/Creepy/Tragic Looks (Mouth Tail, Multi-Eyed, Split Mouth) °Looks as has a Tragic Backstory (Injuries, Missing Limbs/Skin, Scars, Exposed Bone) °If you wanna create ^ Tragic Backstory you can °Preferably Scaled - But Feathers/Fur is fine. °Things that move with emotion (Frills that open when angry, quills that stand up or go down, Spikes, Marks that glow) °Big Teeth/Fangs, Big Claws/Talons, Big Horns °Gradient or Multi-Coloured Marks °Neutral Bases with Coloured Marks °Optional - If you wanna give the dragon a little pet or friend °Optional - Adding a human to dragon scale for size °Optional - Shapeshifter (Between Human & Dragon - Show Human Look) *might add more* θWhat I Don't Likeθ ·Inaccurate Wings/Body Shapes (Unless Hybrid) ·Complicated Markings (Keeping it simple is better - dont need 20 marks) ·Red & Blue next to each other (hurts eyes) *might add more* ฯPrizes & Moreฯ First Place 80GB Second Place 40GB Third Place 20GB Maybe Fourth Place If you win any place & wanna do a better or more detailed ref sheet, or another piece of art for your character - let me know!! All winning entries will be put on toyhouse. What really is anatomy? what really is fire?....... what are wings? Key features of my fiery creation: Fiery blue flames, able to breathe fire and use tail fire as defence; quills, can 'prick up' and be used as defence, also can stand on end when threatened, or feeling emotions of looove; loss of tail scales now shows bone; wears skull (but of whom is the real question...); many claws, talons and fangs for extra threatening look; piercing eyes that can see through the darkest of nights, and even through water those were basically the features running through my mind while drawing, obviously you could change anything you wanted :) & with that! If we do decide to enter would you allow us to do a finalized piece and add a reference too? it would be the same dragon. Here recently I have come up with a style I really like and want to try it out on a few things so I think I might use this as a trial and error thing. 0 players like this post! Like? |
