Demetrius shrugged yet again. Pretty much a common act for this young lad when he didn’t know what to say. Again, he ran a hand through his blonde hair. Through all his years of work, he became used to keeping his hands busy.

“Well you might enjoy it. Or hate it. Whatever suits you,” Demetrius responded bluntly as usual.

Azure chuckled again,”Well we could do something-“ He leaned down close to Jayne’s face again,”Fuuuun?~”

“Oh shush Az!” The Australian siren was interrupted by Jayne’s sassy scoff, a clear smile on her face,”Alrighty then! What should we do?”

He strummed his guitar once again,”Music time! Let’s sing a duet!”

“I was uh...” Jayne gestured to her drawing book,”Gonna draw... You?”

“In a bit! Let’s sing!” Azure chimed as he sat down beside Jayne and began to play his guitar and hum a tune.

Again, Azure’s singing and guitar playing came to a holt. He slightly turned his head to see another unfamiliar face. Huh. Who were they...?

Jayne just smiled nervously. Okay don’t panic think of an excuse to why you are here if anyone asks.

Azure, being the confident boy he was, turned to look over at the person, waving,”Hello there hun! You lost or you attracted to great singing?”

“Azure!” Jayne chuckled, giving him a nudge,”Shut it!”

Azure just smiled even more, plucking at his guitar.

“Just watch! My voice is enchanting!” Azure replied smugly.

To be honest, this wasn’t much of a challenge to Azure. Singing beautifully was the whole power of sirens, except he didn’t really use it to drag people to their deaths. Instead he used it to play his guitar. How he loved guitar playing!

“Jayne give me a song!” Azure looked over with a grin.

“Oh uh... Never Be Alone by Shawn Mendes is good!” Jayne smiled slightly, thinking about how her sister knew how to play it on piano.

Azure, after a moment of thinking, strummed his guitar. Not a surprise to Jayne, but maybe a surprise to others, Azure sang rather magically! Jayne just swayed back and forth as she listened.

Azure burst out into laughter, a really loud fit of one. Was he making fun of her? Teasing her? It was uncertain why he was laughing.

He ran a hand over his scarred eye, as if wiping tears, and then looked at her with a wide grin,”My singing partner has always been Ocean Eyes over here!” Jayne smiled when he ruffled her hair yet again.

“Let her try Az! Even though uh-“ Jayne gestured down to the sea below the dock and Azure looked down.

Fish were there, staring up in his direction. They surrounded his feet, mesmerised by his singing. Oh yeah. Sirens did that. Azure chuckled.

“Alright! But Jayne will forever be my “du” in ‘duet’!” Azure’s grin widely, Jayne chuckling bashfully.
