! WIP !

I feel like Lioden needs a new, updated Mutation Guide since there have been new mutations and more. Any important updates and changes will go here until I am finished. I am grateful for any help in the comments of my PMs 😊 Please tell me you find mistakes or have suggestions!

If anyone can offer some html help on how to do dividers etc please PM me!
I am taking inspiration from the most known Mutations guide here and of course the Lioden Wiki.

Questions to you:
Should I add the specific MoD names?
I don’t know what the cross or the star for the mutation order mean, can someone explain?
Should I add pictures? If yes, just one for reference or a full overview of all the stages?

So let’s get to the guide.

A Mutations Guide

If no other requirements, a mutation can appear randomly on a cub no matter its genetics or heritage.

As of September 2020 we have 72 in total; including 5 Primal variations, 25 Patches and Piebald variations, 13 Birth mutations, 9 Lethal mutation, 18 Adult mutations, and 2 Hybrids.

The roll order of mutations goes as follows (except for the two hybrids, these are also all the naturally passing mutations):

Leopon OR Overgrown Fur OR Tigon† ➜ Patches/Piebald† ➜ GMO Cow/Lion Meat ➜ Cotton Root Bark ➜ Fertility/Natural Chance ➜ Lion Scrotum ➜ Primal ➜ Dorsal Fur† ➜ Tigon Boost* ➜ Mukombero ➜ Dorsal Fur Guarantee*

Each parent rolls, so you double your choices of a mutataion; if both parents have Dorsal Fur for example.

For additional reading check out these handy guides for an ovierview of breeding items and what breeding items you can use together.

Here are also some guides for breeding specific muts: Primal, Dwarf, and 2 Leopon guides.

Attention:
I only count mutations as passable if they do so naturally without items!
The “Passable?” questions is answered with yes if both parents can pass it. I will specify if it is the case otherwise!
If a mutation can be applied with an app, it will be listed under “Further info”!
All mutations can appear randomly unless stated otherwise!

Table of Contents

1. Mutations at Birth - appear directly as birth and are stated in the Appearance portion
2. Lethal Mutations - these lions will die before they can grow up or grow old
3. Adult Mutations - will appear as "Adult Mutation Present" under Appearances if checked for mutations and will be revealed at 2 years old
4. Hybrids - appear directly at birth and are differentiated between First Generations and not

A little bit of help, there are 2 "eyeless" mutations here, patches corrupted is spelled wrong (its spelled corrupted), also if you look into it more, for the further info section, there are some mutations that have extra flavor text (For example achromia and blind)

Thanks!

Im mit sure i want to add the flavour texts once those are easily accessible from the wiki and don't really add meaningful information to the mutation itself...

Some info on pies/patches if you want:

All piebalds and patches have a 5% chance to pass naturally. The chances can stack-if the mother and father have the same variation, the chance jumps to 10%. If you have two different variations, for example shadow patches and daedal piebald, there'll be a 5% for shadow and a 5% chance for daedal, independent of each other.

(Also, primals can only pass from males, never females)

Yes! Ferus is the only primal variation that can only pass straight from Primal (Ferus)

I'm a bit confused, for deaf it says "It is the only lethal mutation that can be passed down to cubs." But then it says it isn't passable-? Is this just a typing error or can I just not read-?

Deaf is a lethal mutation that can pass onto cubs using a Lion Scrotum, but it is not naturally passable.

Mukomberos are items obtained from the March event, specifically though an event encounter, and you can then use it in a breeding that'll guarantee one Ferus cub in the litter. This event encounter can be found after Tier 2 of the Black Market is unlocked, however the chances of the encounter appearing will increase slightly when Tier Three is unlocked.

Can someone tell me if you can have two mutations? Such as a pie/melanism?

It's possible if breeding items are used. I once had a piebald and primal, cross bred and got a primal and piebald cubs.
