Hm, I’d say no support for this to be honest. It opens up too many opportunities for either side of the trade to start getting nasty about pricing and what not. I feel like if someone is interested in something enough, they’ll contact the seller directly and try to haggle from there, that or use the ‘offer’ feature on a trade that’s there already :P don’t get me wrong, it s a cool idea, but I honestly think people would either take advantage of it, or worse I dunno.

Do you think a better idea would be to have like a “warning” option where it let’s them know you might be cancelling soon?
I know I tend to forget sometimes when I watch a trade and am only reminded its there when it gets cancelled :/

I think that would be better actually! Like maybe some form of alert that goes off a day before you’ve either decided to cancel the trade soon OR before it expires? Expiring trades are a nightmare tbh

It would probably alter how trades can be cancelled a bit. Like if you have watchers, you can select cancel, but it would have something like a cool down.
For example, you decide to cancel a trade with like 3 watchers, instead of it being taken down immediately, it would alert them that the trade is being taken down soon, and after a certain time period (8 hours might be good, but 24 would make sense too) it will be completely removed.

I feel like that would be a viable option :) although a few people would disagree and say that they prefer to automatically cancel a trade without having to wait a few hours 🤔 still, it’s a good suggestion! Just needs to be altered :)

I dont think an enforced cooldown is a fun idea at all, especially since a lot of watchers are only watching to see if something sells because they have something similar. It could effectively lock things in tc for longer than they need to be and make quick fixes for people who have put in gb and sb values the wrong way round, for example, unfixable.

I agree the watchers mechanic definitely needs a rework since its kind of useless as is, but imo it should be limited to automated messages rather than direct contact. An automated message to say a trade has been offered on or is close to expiring would be helpful though.

I really liked this idea at first but thinking about it I'm picturing a trade with multiple watchers, you message them, then you have several possible deals going on which doesn't feel mega fair? You could cause a private bidding war by saying someone else is offering X amount, etc... (even if it's not necessarily true)

Something like a trade reminder would be cool though to send out, like an automated message as suggested above that you could send out to all watchers

I for sure would prefer a trade to get cancelled automatically; imagine you set something for 10SB instead of 10GB! Hellll no thanks.
