Everything Soup sighed, being dragged back by Odd Ball, who had somehow managed to draw the longest stick. He had his suspicions that she had cheated, but didn’t overly care. He enjoyed the thought of seeing his new possible friend Icestar, but Odd Ball was being her usual overly energetic self. (If Shiga hadn’t joined their pride after she was born, he would have assumed they were related).

Climbing up, he followed her, mostly ignoring her excited squeals and comments. “I can’t wait to go up to the trials! I know I have to wait outside but that’s okay; this’ll be so fun!” “Ooh, we should bring Icestar a present next time! Everybody likes presents! What does she like?” Everything Soup heavily regretted sharing stories now, living the results of it. At least Odd Ball wasn’t heavily disheartened that she couldn’t go in herself.

She’d whined a bit at first, but didn’t complain much after that, more excited to met Icestar and go out in an adventure over actually going into the Ancient Trials. Noting that they were quickly approaching, Everything Soup turned to talk to Odd Ball, only to realize she’d stopped walking herself. At some point, she’d climbed up onto his back and had started riding him; he apparently had been too deep in thought to notice.

He sighed, not bothering with getting her off and choosing to instead go ahead, catching a glimpse of Icestar in the distance. Calling out a friendly greeting, he continued on ahead. Odd Ball perked her head up, and screamed out “hello” as loud as she could, digging her claws into Everything Soup’s mane. He only winced a little, but if lions could cry he would.

Nairobi strutted up the pathway passing a male with a very, very noisy energetic cub on his way. Picking up his pace as he neared his friend, Icestar, with a much better mood than the last he’d been here.

“Hello Icestar!” He exclaimed with undeniable happiness. “You’re not going to believe this!” He said with a light hearted laughed. He walked up to her and nuzzled her and started to purr.

Icestar flew down from out of the clouds and right on the ground next to the gates. She was carrying some materials in her mouth. She was about to head back to her den to continue work on her project when she heard one of Deikoro's adolescents complaing. She turned around to be taken by surprise.

Deikoro greeted Icestar, while he thwacked one of the adolescents head with his tail. “Hello Icestar. I’ve come again. Sorry about the adolescents, they begged to come but didn’t realise how far away this place is.” He said, as one of the adolescents rolled their eyes and muttered something inaudible.

The moody adolescent spoke. “My name’s Gheata, and that lazy lion over there is Rose!” Rose hissed, “I am NOT lazy.” Rose yelled at Gheata, who just laughed and smacked Rose in the face gently with her tail.
“Says the one who ate an entire hippo during a hunt.” Gheata rolled her eyes at Rose, deliberately speaking as loud as she could.
