You can't use a Lion Meat and Lion Scrotum in the same breeding, they use the same slot.
Lion SCROTUMS are what pass Double Uterus, Lion Meat will only boost random mutation chance, not the pass of a mutation. Lion SCROTS are what have the 25% chance to pass (5% for DUs)

You can use a CRB, but make sure you use it before the other breeding items as the litter is erased technically.

There's no luck in having birthed one already versus not.
It's a 5% pass for Double Uterus when you use a Lion Scrotum.

I had a lot of frustration with Double Uterus in the past. It's only a 5% chance, which is very low chance.

Dwarves are easier to pass because they have that 25% pass rate that the Lion Scrotum is supposed to have. Double Uterus were knocked down to 5% pass because there was a massive amount of them being bred per litter and the number in game rose too rapidly.

I've had a Double Uterus born through breeding with Lion Scrotums on a DU mother before, but I've also had Adult Mutation Present cubs that turn into simple mane muties despite using a Lion Scrotum on a Double Uterus. I used to breed them fairly often.

What do you mean by a better chance of getting a pon or gon? Do you mean from breeding a pon/gon mother with their similar 5% chance?
Technically both are 5%, so it should be around the same, even if it doesn't feel like it sometimes...

Unless you mean by Lion Meat and getting a random G1, then that's different.

I have a Double Uterus and I haven't had luck getting from her another DU despite using a Buffalo scrotum, CRB and lion meat on nearly every next heat she had. She's 13 years old now and I'm hoping to get at least 1 DU cub before she passes away.

I had a lot of luck with my Gons tho. I had my first one from a CRB breeding now I have 4. I think the pass rate is much easier from Gon to Gon then from a DU to DU. I again use the combo CRB+Buffy balls+Lion meat on them as well. This month I'll use the lion meat's slot with a lion scrotum.
Since I bred the mother Gon to other studs she gave me a Gen 4 Gon cub just a few days ago.

Idk, I still love DUs and I'm looking to get another one because even if you don't get muties they are perfect for breeding projects. If bred to the right king/stud they can give you pretty darn adorable and special cubs.

Unfortunately, yes it is, however from what I understand with mutation rolls naturally, it is still a significantly higher chance than getting a du specifically from lion meats.

@KRAMMIE - no. You only get double the amount of cubs she would normally have had. So if she would have had just 1 cub, it gets doubled for 2 for a DU. Or 2 cubs becomes 4, etc.

You can only guarantee at least 6 cubs if you use a buffalo scrotum. Even then you're more likely to get 6 than 8.

Well, it was me assuming when you said "Would you say I had a better chance of getting a pon or gon?" that you meant would you have a better chance of breeding a first gen leopon/tigon from Lion Meat than popping a Double Uterus :P

Which I'd say Double Uterus is probably a higher pass rate than getting a G1, unless you're using a large amount of Lion Meats xD

You probably haven't been getting any DUs because the mutation doesn't pass naturally. To have a higher chance at getting a DU from a DU, you'd need to use a lion scrotum. It gives a 5% chance of the cubs being DUs if they are female.

With just using CRB and Lion Meat, she has the same chance as a regular, unmutated lioness of giving a DU with the same items used.
