It's a definite possibility, but it'll take a lot of work to have storylines and it would need determined how often these events would be, so here's a few things I feel would be needed *first*, and then what it would take to make those happen.

Needed First:
At least 10 consistent players.
At least one staff member to help keep track of the game, and to bounce ideas off of

Events would need:
- A determined cycle of events. Probably not monthly as I do summer work in order to pay for college, and so dealing with a monthly event would just be too much on top of work and class.
- Either a decided NPC Per event, or a group of NPCs who manage all events
- Would the events be per-player or player wide? A mix?
- Unique rewards that are impossible to get outside of said events
- New loot for each event
- Systems for managing and keeping track of the event progress.

That's a good point, some of CQ's users have been inactive for a few posts, I've tried to ask my friend's offsite to join but they don't use Lioden.
Here are the possible solutions:
- Every 3-4 months? Or another staff member(s) could manage it whilst you're working.
-Decided would be similar to Lioden, and animals could fit the event but a group of maybe 3-5 would be easier to come up with if they were just cats you'd just have to come up with a few designs.
-A mix, they'd all achieve the goal as a community but buy the rewards separately.
-Yeah, maybe only a few items, and the majority are just useless items such as prey but 1 or 2 are things such as Curlweed (For curled ears or tails? Maybe even curled fur), Nightweed and Dayweed or Wolfweed (Lykoi fur thingy) a weed Takataka doesn't have.
-Good point and like thirst items they'd be useless outside of said event maybe just adding use to already existing patrol junk? Instead of giving things to Takataka, you could give them to the event NPC.
- A doc or simply a progress bar every post saying 'Tier: (something)/3, Progress on the quest: (something)/(something you need to do)

Well they don't have to be equidistant, for example we could do a christmas/winter event, and a summer event. They would last several months, and then there could still be the event studs and raffle cats that show up for other things like thanksgiving, major updates, etc. Would the events be the same each time? If its a group of cats for the summer event, then maybe they bring a new challenge every year which is how we reuse NPCs, and then every few years is when the recycled events start happening (ones that happened in previous years), while the Christmas one stays the same as its centered around a holiday.

That sort of a mix works :D

I like the idea of more weeds/plants for Takataka, but I don't know if "yeah he grows similar things, but you can only get this specific one this way" is a good method to introduce them. Event items I feel should be completely unconnected to anything that currently exists, just because if you can only get them bi-yearly or even once a year, it should be something that's just extra special and unique, you know?

I like that idea, and yeah it's not the best method so maybe something like berries or flowers? like a cat grows berries that can help with mutations or a cat knows a field that has special flowers to help with breeding chances, or with the reasoning, the weeds grow in certain seasons.

Here's a suggestion for summer:
A kittypet that's owner is a florist so they have access to flowers and a certain flower (maybe a Lotus or Camellias)
makes it so that if you give it to a she-cat the next breeding can't fail

I'm hoping to unveil a few projects that have been in the works for a while, but we'll see if I make any progress on those as I've been pouring all energy into this surprise x'DDD

@Chai - it depends on what you mean;
Google drives: I'm usually privately cleaning them up before I make a new doc thats inside the google drive and copy+paste everything there, can take anywhere from a day to over a month
Reply posts: depends on how many people posted, on average about an hour.
Announcement posts: depends on how much I need to unveil / spend writing the post. I'm actually about done with the announcement ;)

Honestly, my biggest goal has always been and always will be a focus on having fun. Whatever else Clan Quest is, at it's core its still a game :3 However the players want to play that game is entirely up to you. If you want to focus your clan on trading and making connections, awesome! If you want to focus on storytelling and lore, that's great!

In the end, the game is centered around the players and that's the real point of the game, making sure you guys are enjoying yourselves :D

ANNOUNCEMENT
Alright my friends it's time for Clan Quest's third update! Some MAJOR changes happening here so make sure to read thoroughly!!

Small Touches
• The Medicine page now has a bit about Illnesses, and how to treat them, as well as how they can spread!
Over the last few days I've made some clarifications to the How to Play concerning apprentices, please make sure you read it!

•Also over the last few days some new mutations have been added so be sure to check those out ;)

•Starting tomorrow Takataka will actually start showing up!

Major Additions/Changes
•Seasons and Weather! That's right, after working on them for...I think I had the original document for about a month now, yesterday and this morning I was able to make a new doc that was all cleaned up and proper, and it has now been added to the Google Drive! We've got Seasons! Weather and natural disasters! These are intended to bring some extra realism to the clans, but also some threats to your cats~

•Your cats actually have a way to get sick now, unlike before when there...really wasn't a way to introduce sickness to a clan. This new system isn't perfect, but if you have any suggestions I am more than welcome to tweak!


The Surprise
I've been hinting at this...honestly for quite a while, but I'm happy to say it's finally here. If any of you stalk the art sales thread, there's a chance you may have actually gotten a preview but....

Clan Quest's cats will now be drawn on our own base :3 If you want to see all the cats currently in existence, head on over to the Clans and Their Members google doc, but for now, here's the previous event kitties :D


However there are some rules to now having our own art:
1) If you ever decide to make like, a record of your clan that's off forum, or even off-site (like on toyhou.se for example) you'll need to credit either my Lioden, my YouTube, or my Toyhou.se, whichever is simpler. (If you need links to these, let me know and I will provide them)
2) The art given to you for your clans may ONLY be used for your clans. If you want your OC on this base, then please go to the thread I set up a few days ago to playtest the base over here Once you have made a total of ten posts in Clan Quest, you get 50% off of two YCHs :3
